Today Kevin is home with Daniel. I got a message this morning from Daniel that the first thing Kevin said when he woke up and came in to Daniel was –Where’s the baby??How cute!! I melted when I read the message. We’re trying to talk about the baby in a positive way and trying not to mention is too often when Kevin isn’t starting the conversation himself. But we’re a little nervous about the reaction when Kevin will get his little brother/sister. We’ve heard so many different stories about friends kids who has gone from being the only child to being two. And we really want it to be something positive for Kevin, even if we realize that he in some moments will see the new born as a person who steals the attention from him. But so far, and especially with the comment this morning, Kevin seems to be just curious, positive and protective over his brother/sister to come! Let’s cross our fingers that it’ll stay that way.
