Kevin 8 years old

Today our little Kevin turns 8 years old. It's unbelievable that it's 8 years ago he came to us under traumatic circumstances. He's turned in to be a very curious boy questioning anything he doesn't understand. Therefore also often seen as a very challenging boy. But with a very big heart and probably a boy who will go very far in life.
Our birthday gift to Kevin this year was a private back stage guided tour at the Tropikariet in Helsingborg where most tropical animals are to be seen. The lovely girl guiding Kevin around and letting him handle and feed many of the animals was fantastic and very tolerant with all his questions. There was only one Crocodile he didn't dare to hold, otherwise he handled most animals without any hesitation at all.

Xmas gift

Today it was time to get together and enjoy our Xmas gift we all got from Johanna and Daniel. Kids were of with Klasen's children Thomas and Linda to meet their pets in the shape of lizards, snakes and spiders! They were in heaven according to them selves. Now all they want for next birthday and xmas is those kind of animals. And if anyone ever consider buying one for them, i promise you that you will have to take care of it when we're away. And we will be away allot!
The rest of us also had a wonderful day. The pictures shows what we got up to.
Thanks for a superb Xmas gift!

Lovely Thursdays

Every Thursday Kevin and Oliver are picked up early by grandma. Every Thursday there's something fun planned for us. Often is just something simple as today when we visited a local playground. Lots of fun a crisp but clear day like this.
Thanks grandma for making it worth longing for Thursdays!

Social weekend

Taco and 8 years birthday party planning on Friday with family Ericssons. One of Kevins best class friends have their birthday very close and they invite the same friends anyway so we continue on the successful way of having the party together. This year they're planning for a bowling party!
Dinner with Daniels brother with family on Friday in Malmö. Except it was in Malmö,  we had nice bbq hamburgers and a great evening together. But Malmo and the concrete areas and nowhere to park the car almost make me sick. It makes me so happy for my countyside house!
On Sunday i had two lobby reunions;  one at the gym with my old classfriend from Lund; Annika, and one for lunch with my dear vaulting friend Jenny and her family. It will not tale years before we meet again, that's for sure.
And what other way but a Sunday dinner at grandma and Klasens place can you ask for!
Thanks everyone for making this weekend a really good one!

Earring

Many of Kevins friend at school have got earring. And I'm referring to the boys. So Kevin have been talking about it for some time. But as parent when it's an idé you're not to keen on you tend to talk about something else and get around the subject that way.
But today grandma called and asked if she was allowed to surprise him by picking him up from school to get his ear pierced. What say you?  Em.. well..yeano...ok then! There's so many other places on the body where people get piercings nowadays so an ear piercing seems soft compared.
So now we have a pierced 8 year old (almost)
Oh well, oh well!!

Fireplace

Because the days are normally hectic with work and activities you need to take care of the moments where you get the chance to just be with your kids. Tonight was such moment. The night was crisp and cold but clear and without any wind. So brought some wood and walked down to the river and made ourselves a little fireplace. What kid doesn't find fire very fascinating? We had a wonderful time together.

My own fly fishing rod

Out of nowhere Daniel came home with a purple fly fishing rod for me. A handmade! If anyone would have told me that i would feel very excited about getting my own rod, I would think they're insane. But now that's the case and i can't wait to get out and start getting the big one on the hook.
Thank you Daniel for buying me this one! Love!!!
