Busfabriken

Kevin spent the weekend with grandma and grandpa in Malmö visiting the playhouse Busfabriken.
Daniel helped our friend Chrille installing his new floor while I was with Oliver fixing the garden and just enjoyed each others company. Chrille has now changes his old oak laminate to a trendy black tile laminate. What a makeover!
And our garden has now kicked of the Spring with pruned apple trees, new planted plum tree and 4 new blueberry plants. The plan is to be able to pick and eat our own apples, plums and berries all season.

Lomma Zoo and Swimming

After a crappy nights sleep I thought I did everybody a favour staying home with the kids. But they didn't seem to be tired at all. So I soon realize we had to get out and about. Started at Lomma Zoo. Then of to the hot pool for full on splashing and swimming.
Got company in the afternoon by our friend who's also the designer of our garden. We pulled out the waffle maker, ice-cream, coffee and blankets and enjoyed a luxury garden picnic in warm sunshine. The inspiration was at top when starting to plan the other half of our garden. Even if it's no hurry, when starting to talk about different options for our garden I get very inpatient and want to get started right away.

Kevins 5th birthday!!

There’s been some serious counting down to this day! Kevin has been asking every day how many more nights he has to sleep before it’s his birthday. Today is the day and he’s a very happy and proud 5 year old who has got a whole day with full attention. Had family for brunch from 10am. He got many nice presents from everyone. Many things on his wish list could be crossed of. The day became the nicest and hottest day this spring so we took turns helping him on his new bike, played with his water toy and just enjoyed hanging around with closest family. Something family Berg can’t get enough of. Then from 4pm it was party with 8 of Kevin’s best friends at the funhouse Busfabriken in Malmö. What a success that was!! Kids were having a time of their life, running around and playing so the sweat ran, ate hamburgers/chicken nuggets and ice-cream in a cool Spider man room. Then out and played even more until it was time for candy bags. Kids were happy and therefore parents were happy! Thanks to everyone involved in making this day a day Kevin will remember and surely talk about for a very long time!

Night out

A great deal and great friends make this Saturday a Night out-light. Fantastic food at Brights Bar & Grill and nice beer at the brewery across the street. Our men didn't know anything about our plans so they were pretty surprized when realizing we weren't going to eat alone. Martin and Karoline is also busy people and it's not that very often we manage to arrange a date together. Even more rarely we do things without kids. But tonight was an exception and we all seem to relax and enjoy fully! Something we all so well deserve!

Circus Brazil Jack

Granddad had free tickets to tonight’s Circus Brazil Jack in Malmö. Granddad does the final inspection of the electrical at the Circus so it feels very safe. We always get VIP seats and so even this year. Feels like the clowns, horses, goats and acrobats is right next to us. Fantastic way of experience a Circus! And granddad knows how to give the kids the little extra by buying everything possible in the shop. Popcorn, lollipops and blinking sword! First time Oliver came along and he sat like he was frozen and enjoyed the whole 2½ hours show. But it didn’t take more then 2 min in the car before they were both sound asleep! Thanks Granddad for a fantastic night!

Thursday dinner

Our Thursday dinner tradition is still going strong and it’s a day we all look forward to. Today the weather made it irresistible to make outdoor plans. So what’s better then a BBQ at the playground. The kids loved it and it didn’t become any worse when they got dog company later on!

Normal kid with bad hearing

Some weeks back I went to the doctor to check Kevin's hearing again after the second surgery where they replaced his pipe in his left ear. Everything confirmed that the surgery went smoothly and the pipe sits where it's suppose to sit. But the hearing test shows that he can hardly hear on his left ear. Since he's a kid and has probably never had any hearing on his left ear he has adapted very well. Now it's up to his environment to adapt to make life easier for him. We all have to make sure we place him correct at the dinner table, day-care has to place him on the correct side when gathering the kids for different activities and we have to understand they he's not always ignoring us when we're asking for his attention in the middle of a noisy surrounding.

The last test done by the neonatal unit where he was treated after his traumatic birth and first couple of hours was also done last week. This shows he' a very normal 5 year old with very high score when it comes to performance speed. Children with traumatic births can often show a slightly reduced capability of performing well under time pressure. But Kevin broke all records! Our little Kevin who had such a tough start, is doing very well and showing what fighting hard always give you positive results in the end! Love him with all our heart!

-"Glass"!!!!

High fever all weekend and all night is reason enough for being home with dad a Monday. And of course this day should be filled with luxury such as visiting the local Café. And he can now clearly say -Glass!! (=ice-cream)

Lightning Mc Gueen

Daniel was home with a feverish Oliver today. And like Daniels mother he’s started to bake. And he does it extremely well. Today there was a banana cake when I got home. But it was a huge one so after dinner we asked if we could come and chare our cake with fam Persson. And they answered my SMS within 15 sec so I guess they were starving for some cake as well. Great evening with coffee, cakes and chatting! Håkan surprised us all by dressing up the boys in new Lightning Mc Queen outfits which he’d been purchasing while in US. They were very proud! Thank you so much.

Hansson's

Chrille came with bread rolls this morning and made this Saturday breakfast a little extra special. Then as most Saturdays we went to the gym for one hour kids gymnastic. I'm the instructor for the kids so Daniel takes the chance to do some training on his own in the meantime. Then he takes the kids home for lunch while I instruct Body Combat for another hour. Fantastic start of a weekend!

Enjoyed a nice salmon lunch together before Daniel and Kevin went out and mounted the trampoline which Kevin has longed for a very long time. Now the real Spring/Summer sign is finally in our garden.
Another Spring sign is that we've contacted our garden designer who has helped us with half of our garden. Now the other half is to be completed too! Can't wait.

Unfortunately Oliver got fever and we thought we had to cancel our dinner with family Hansson. But my fantastic cousin and her boyfriend who had no plans for the evening were able to spend the night at out place with Oliver so we could still go and see Hanssons.

Music Saturday

Followed the final of the song contest at Mariette and Bengts place. Fantastic food and great wine and relaxed company made this Saturday a very enjoyable one!
