We are the Champion, We are the champion.................

Together with more then 20 friends we drove 1½ hours north to get to the 900 m long toboggan. My goal was to ignore the hangover I had from the awesome party yesterday and get the fastest time of the day. And so I did. My good friend Christian was my passanger in the fastest ride of the day! Thank you Champion for outstanding teamwork!!

Day-care

Today was the last way on the 2 weeks introduction at the day-care. I cried when mum dropped me of this morning. Otherwise the weeks have been very successful. The last couple of days I've started to be very aware of the other kids and sometime it become too much and I start to miss mum. But she has placed my pillow and my dummy at the day-care which the teachers let me have to calm down and get in the mood to play again. I've been eating lunch and sleeping for the last three days without problems. So now I'm considered being a licensed day-care kid!! But it takes a lot of energy having lots of kids around, so after a bath with mum I couldn't keep my eyes open... fell sound asleep at 7.30.

Baking

I'm not going to translate what these cookies are called here in Sweden!! For you who doesn't speak Swedish, let's forget about the name, and just say that they are Jummy and that there's about 50 of them in our freeze. You're all welcome at anytime!!!

$$$$$$$$

Lucky people who wins when gambling! And lucky us for being so close family to the winners coz we got a very surprising part of the $$$$$
THANK YOU!!
We used a small amount on something we've been planning to buy for a long time but haven't found that extra money to buy it. So now we finally have something in our bedroom to put some flowers on and which also have hidden spaces for books and other things nice to have close to your bed.

"Looking not so flash"

...was the comment a good, and very honest, friend wrote to me after visiting this website and seeing some of the photos.
I love you too, Glenn!! :o)) Your kitchen will never be done!! (Internal joke!)

To try to forget this comment I went shopping. And today I got my hair cut. Starting to look gooood, I can tell you!! Are just waiting for the facial I have booked on Tuesday! The "Looking not so flash" will be changed to "Looking fabulous!!" At least let me think that for a moment or two!

PLUS, I found an excellent instructor that even has his lessons on You Tube. Billy Blake! Loving his way of exercising! Give me a month and I've started to shape up my body to a decent level again.

It's amazing what a comment from the right person at the right timing can make you get things done. Thanks you, Glenn!

I'm so bad at giving myself good treats. Every time I'm on my way to something that I'm doing just for myself, I feel stressed because every hour I'm away from home and Kevin, is an hour too much. Daniel has been home for 8 month so I'm totally convinced that he can handle it perfectly. But still I'm feeling guilt for every moment I'm doing something for my self.
Am I the only mother that feels this way???

Getting there with our garden

Our vacation is getting to the end. But it feels good to be able to say that we've been doing something every day to get our garden to where it's suppose to be according to the great drawing a good friend did who knows all about garden design!
Here you can imagine half of the circle along our driveway. Flowers are still to come! But the shape isn't to bad, is it??
Even the carport has been in focus. Here with the new spotlights on!

Alma, my friend!

When visiting Alma the other day we got to do something really fun. Splashing with water in any way is one of the best things you can do according to little Kevin!!

Picknick

When the sun finally decided to shine after a rainy day like we had yesterday (it came 40mm in one day!) I can't help myself but to want to be outside. First I want horse riding. Very long time ago since last time, but just as fun as always!
After a lunch break where the whole family slept for a little while we packed our bags and biked to the store and bought a chicken from the bbq and some potatoe-sallad and kept biking to the next town. First we enyojed the sun on our blanket...Then I tried to eat a creamy cookie on my own!
Then we ran around with Lena, Håkan and Malte who also joined us!
And this is how tired I was when we arrived home!

Mirrors are fascinating!

I'm having fun with the cute person on the other side of the "window"! He's very clever because he can imitate my movements to 100%!! What a boy!!! :o))
Don't blame mum for the bad matching sunhat coz I dressed myself with this little detail!

Raining!!

This Saturday I had asked Daniel not to make any plans because I had a surprise! He couldn't stop asking question trying to figure out what I had planned. But the only details he got were that he should be dressed for a golf tournament and be ready at 6.45 in the morning. He didn't believe that there was an actual tournament waiting for him. But there was!! PLUS another 18 holes with on our best friends Christian! I thought I was doing him a good favour "letting" him play golf all he wanted for a whole day. And it would normally be a dream for Daniel to play 36 holes of golf, but this day gave us poring rain 24 hours non stop!!! How typical is that?!?! Grrrr....

Even if it was pouring rain mum decided to try out my new Superman rain clothes. So we dressed out in our water proof clothes and went out for an hour! It was fun being out when there's so much water everywhere!!

We were all tired from a day with not one single second without rain, so we ordered take away from the local restaurant and just enjoyed a relaxing evening with friends.
Daniel and Christian ended up 4th in the tournament!!!

Climbing Champion!

I've been watching dad doing this for weeks while bulding the carport. Every chance I get I climb this ladder - all by my self!!!!

100% day-care kid!!

Third day at the day-care! I was there for 1½ h today. Mum left me for the first time all by my self for 45 min. Everything went perfect! I kept playing with the other kids and didn't seem to care that mum was away!

Malmö Festival

It's time for the yearly Malmö Festival, and we were there! Took the train in together with our good friends Anna, Emil and Alma. The main goal with this trip was to try as many different international dishes as our stomachs could take. After a hamburger from Chile, traditional pancake with chocolate and Hungarian Langos we couldn't eat any more. What a shame because my eyes could easily have eaten another 5 dishes!!!
On our way to the train we stopped by a playground!

Champagne & Crayfish

After hard work comes luxury! At least it did this Saturday. My dad, the real electrician!, came at 8 and did some fantastic work with our carport. He gave me full point for the job I did last night with the cords. After Kevin had checked i first as you can see below! :o)
Then we went to Kevins grandparents in Furulund and ate swedish crayfish and drank champagne! LOVELY!!!

The electrician

When the real electrician (my dad) isn't here, I'm the stand in! I connected 6 outdoor lamps so that they all go via the same power cord. Let's hope I'm not the reason for a big explosion tomorrow when it'll be installed.

More garden

Kevins God Father and his family "borrowed" Kevin for a whole afternoon. We didn't know where they were going until we saw the pictures when they came back. Will publish the pictures as soon as I get a copy of them. But I can reveal that they were having a blast!!

Daniel spent the whole day helping our friends with their roof so I was home alone. I thought for 1 sec if I should spend the hours all by my self relaxing in front of the TV watching the Olympics (which you never ever get a chance to do when Kevin is at home), or if I should go crazy with our garden. I choosed the garden! And boy did I get things done! YES!! I digged like madness, mowed the lawn and created a flower bed with lavendel. If I could take a photo from high above you would be able to see the entrance side of the garden take shape of a big circle. Looking goooood!!!!:o)

Here's the beginning of the flower bed.

Flower bed with the lavendel! The stone frame is just temporary as we're waiting for our big stone delivery to get here.

Close up of the lavendel!

Hugs and kisses

Kissing Alma, my dearest girlfriend! We'll even go to the same day-care starting coming Monday!

Giving Mira a hug! She's my friend who's parents dad is helping with the roof!!

Grocery shopping

Today I went grocery shopping with mum! I can tell that she hate to shop groceries as she bought PLENTY hoping she won't have to go here again for a while!!

Potty

Today I went on the potty for the first time! Mum was really allert when I was running around naked at home. She saw the sign, and asked me if I needed to wee. I nodded and was carried in record speed into the potty where I got the hang of it right away. I even went there the next time I needed to wee-wee!!

Others project

When we're not busy with out own projects at home we're helping others!! That's the way it works with most of our friends. Giving and taking!! It's such a great way of getting big projects done in less amount of time at the same time as being social with the people we like!

Garden project

Here's some before pictues of one side of our garden. This is the image I want you all o remember when I show you the picures when it's finished!! It looks like hell, but this is what we're working with every noon and every night when Kevin is a sleep. Except today when we worked extra hard since I manage to flirt with my mum to play with Kevin for an hour when we worked our butts of!!

Daniel got the old shed down and driven to the recycling station.
The old shed brought out alot of biiig spiders!!!!
I planted some ivy (murgröna) that we'll have
growing all around the trellis that we're
planning to build along the border to our neighbour.

Looking to the right from the dining room entrance.

Looking to the left!

Sunday 10 August 2008

Finally holiday!
We now have 3 weeks holiday in front of us. Not a day too late! It started of really well.... with a weekend where we got alot done in the garden. And after Kevin had gone to bed we also got some quality time together! Daniel had a hot bath and a glass of wine ready for me when I came in from finalizing my planting in the garden! I can't imagine a better way to end a busy Saturday!

Just like dad

Wonder where he has got this sofa-style from? The only thing that's for sure is that it's his father that has been at home with him for the last 8 month!!!!

Ice-cream

- How are you doing??? :o)))
This is how cool I look when grandma buy me ice-cream at the local shop in Furulund!

This is what we picked during a 2 hours walk in the dipest forrest outside Kågeröd with our friends Robban & Maria who has bought a house there.

Wild berries - can it get better? Not according to Pernilla!!

Thursday 7 August 2008

I've started to walk longer and longer distances. But for some reason I've now been given this thing to talk with. Could it be that I stop every 1 metre to have a loot at what's on the ground??
