Soccer tournament

Soccer tournament for Kevin in Borgeby. Two losses but with great positive spirit within the team and their coaches (which seems to be rare if you listen to the other teams with coaches yelling and screaming not very motivated and inspiring instructions to the players)
I'm happy that Kevin has found a sport he really like. All of a sudden it feels like all other things which would be nice to do can wait when supporting your own child in a sport which give him physical training, coordination, cooperation and many great friends.

Chicken ordered

Today we finally got around to visit the recommended chicken-place "Olofslunds Kycklingar" to get answers to all our questions and have a look at the different breeds and their qualities. We all agreed on a mix of three different types. Ordered 5 of each hoping that we can keep 6-8 alive. The odds are 50% according to the breeder so we're not aiming too high!
This is what we'll have in our garden as of about 6 weeks:

Orpington is from England. They ley eggs all year around, but not extremely many.
She's very social and calm.

Colombian Sussex is a popular and beautiful breed from England. Lay many eggs, even during winter. A patient and tolerant type.

Maran is a big breed from France. Lay many big darkbrown eggs. Very big and strong breed.

So start saving your egg cartons so that you can get some
eggs with you home next time you stop by!!!!!!!!!

Swedish championship in Motorcross

While Kevin had his birthday party Oliver got the chance to go with grandma and Klasen to watch the Swedish championship in Motor cross in Saxstorp.

Late Birthday party

Kevin has his birthday party with his best friend Alma today in the big gymnastic hall at their school. Hall filled with things to jump, climb and run on, pizza, drink, cake and candy = super happy kids with a sugar kick which lasted just long enough until it was time for their parents to pick them up. Sometimes your more pleased with your planning then other ;o)
But only thanks to Alma's parents this was possible to deal with in such smooth way.

Easter Weekend in Olofström

Easter weekend with our camper van by the lake and forest in Olofström. First day rainy, but then only sunny and nice weather which we enjoyed fully fishing, bbqing and just hanging around great people. Great to be away and to be 100% present. Forget what time it is and eat when you're hungry and sleep when you're tired. But we feel there's so much more to explore up here so will probably be back later this year.
Hope you all have had a wonderful Easter.

Placing concrete

Started the day with hotel breakfast at Grand Hotel in Lund with Kevin since Oliver stayed the night in Malmö. Just as nice as always.
Our Xmas gift for grandma's and Lena was a day of placing concrete incl food and wine. Today was the day. Started around noon with broccoli/cheese pie and checking out all the books from the library about the subject placing concrete. Then we got started! Lots of fun but the result will have to way until a couple of days when it has all hardened. Daniel was also in a creative mood and made a very robust table for the two benches he did last weekend. What a handy man he has turned in to. Lovely! Now all the children in the neighbourhood have somewhere to sit when hanging around.

Seed Bread

Daniel is now 10kg down in just 3 month and has reached his target. But need to keep the weight until Midsummer according the deal!
There's simply no short cuts to loosing weight, BUT there is tome key elements which has helped Daniel allot. Such as removing all bread of all sort. So for weekend breakfast we enjoy this Seed Bread instead, which hardy is any sacrifice.
3 eggs
3 dl grated cheese
1 tbs mayonnaise
2 tbs cottage cheese
1½ teaspoon baking powder
5 dl seeds (sesame seed, linseed, sunflower, pumpkin seed)
Mix everything.
225 degrees C for about 10-15min
Enjoy!!

The other secret is to add smoothies as snacks between the main courses and reduce all portion sizes!
Good Luck!!

Dentist, soccer, grit and locked out

Picked up Kevin and his friend Alma from school early afternoon to take Kevin to the dentist. Everything was fine and he behaved perfect. Then we went to pick up Oliver and his friend (Alma's brother Alvin) from day-care. We all had a nice afternoon. Early dinner before Kevin was of to his soccer training. Lucky Kevin is stubborn enough to want to go to practice even if it's freezing cold and raining on and off. That's how someone who want to get somewhere in life act!!
While Daniel and Kevin was on the soccer field Oliver got the choice of watching Kevin or come along with his mum to the gym for a 30min GRIT class. He wanted to come with me! We went early to the gym to be able to have some fun in the big hall before the class which Oliver loves. Here you see him lifting weights and doing push ups! Had to rush hope because Kevin and Daniel was locked out (forgot their keys!)
Went to bed with a plate of cheese and a glass of wine! I can live with these Wednesdays ;o)
