Germany, Thaiboxing and BBQ

At 4am Daniel drove to Germany with Klasen and Håkan to by some little less expensive beer, wine and alcohol. In the meantime I had a nice and slow morning with the boys. Went by Lena and Felix a little while so that Kevin and Oliver got a little break from just being home. Plus it was a while ago we saw them so it was about time!
I added pictures of some baby stuff that we no longer need on the net. Within a couple of hours I'd sold it all! Must have set the price to low!
In the afternoon we visited a local Thai boxing tournament with the kids. Good atmosphere and many good old training mates to chat to.
Tonight we got spoiled with beautiful bbq at Chrille's place. Unfortunately both our boys were in the worst mood we've ever experienced:-( I want to believe that our boys are normally behaving alright. But tonight every minute you've spent on raising our boys to become good boys felt like waist of time and energy. Have never felt this useless as a parent before. But I think the 10 month of sleepless nights, lonely days and crappy summer weather are starting to take out its right.

Playdate

Play date with Lisa today!

Raspberry

Normally Oliver loves berries. But with the raspberries this morning it was something else. He kind of liked them but when finding out they were better as red paint on his chair he preferred the painting!

Entertainer

Got a time to see the doctor with Oliver today due to that he's still breathing as if he has a cold even if he hasn't. It has never been this fun waiting in the waiting room. Oliver entertained all people there. Young, old, sick or not didn't matter. He was singing, talking dancing, waving and laughing with all of them. It was clear he was having a ball and every response he got totally triggered him to sing higher or dance wilder!
Nothing wrong with his breathing, just normal for some young kids to breath like this. He'll grow out of it.
When back home we invited Klasen to a cup of coffee. He then asked if he could pick up Kevin from day-care. Always a safe card when Klasen picks him up, so of course that was ok. They only came home, said hi before they were of again. To swim in the pool!
In the meantime I cooked Oliver's favourite dish (salmon) and filled the freeze.

Alma

Today Kevin's friend Alma came with us home after day-care. They played, jumped on the trampoline and played Super Mario Car on TV.
When Daniel got home we had a nice shrimp and pasta dinner.
Since it's Wednesday I was of to the Thai boxing club later in the evening for an hour tough training.

Oliver walking

Our little Oliver only want to talk all the time. But his parents would prefer if he crawled. You might understand why when you see how well balanced he is when walking - not!!

Pottering

This Sunday I was pottering with Kevin. He loves any kind of pottering. Today we glued magnets on his big letters. He got the whole alphabet from Klas son Thomas some time ago and now his magnet-wall in his room is ready it's time to get the letters up so we can start practising spelling. We started with the letters for KEVIN and OLIVER and a few others. Next time we'll do the other letters.
Later in the afternoon dad, his brother and Johanna got home from the half marathon-weekend in Gothenburg. We BBQed and had a calm and nice dinner together with the athletes!
The result from the race was as following:

Daniel 2:10 (10min better then last year!)
Mikael 2:17 (first time half marathon)
Johanna 2:49 (first time half marathon)

Well done!

Gothenburg Half marathon

Today is the big day for Daniel, Johanna and Mikael. They will run the half marathon in Gothenburg! Johanna and Mikael got it as a birthday present last year. Now is the day they will prove that they are stronger then most of their family and friends thinks! We know they can do it and are therefore serving them a breakfast filled with energy.
Wishing them good luck!!

Afternoon in the pool

After having to convince Kevin to jump in the pool at grandma and Klasen's place, we couldn't get him out of the pool.
The evening followed by nice bbq! Thanks for having us tonight!

Granddad visiting

Granddad spent the morning together with us. The kids love his company. Thanks for your company today!

Busfabriken

Nice Friday at the huge funhouse Busfabriken in Helsingborg together with Mariett and her kids and Åsa and Lisa. The kids ran and played so hard that they were sweating. We had lunch and ice-cream before heading back home. Did some grocery shopping before preparing the dinner for tonight’s guests. But in the middle of the preparations they called and said that both their kids were sick with bad cold and coughing. So we postponed our dinner and decided to enjoy on our own, which was really nice. Daniel and Kevin glued the stone around our apple-tree before we went for a long walk together. Then it was time for the traditional Friday-popcorn!!

Final Army Kids

Today was the final session of the Army Kids at the gym! It was just as fun as always.
Right after the gym, we went to the swimming pool to meet up with Kevin's friend Alma and her mum.
Tonight we went to Hököping to family Svensson/Axelsson for bbq, lots of fun for the kids and a Rosé that I can warmly recommend.

Friday the 13th - a good day!!

A wonderful Friday at the public preschool today. Fantastic weather, great activities as always and nice coffee. Today they gave the kids a white cap and pencils in bright colours that they could paint the cap with. They created some pretty crazy and very colourful caps! Kevin asked Lisa, who’s the teacher, five times if it REALLY was ok to paint on the cap!!
When Daniel got home from work we went straight to family Ericsson for Taco-night. Taco is always a success in our family and the Swedish strawberries didn’t made the dinner less perfect! Tonight I’d got the permission ;o) to go to Malmö for a few drinks with a deal colleague of mine. It’s not often we see each other, but we always have loads to talk about and she’s so lovely to be with. Even if I love my kids and family, I must admit that it was soooo good to get out of the house and to be able to sit down and relax and talk with a good friend whose adult!!

Swim in the pool

Today mum had to attend to a meeting at work so Oliver was dropped of with grandma at her work who walked home with him while he was sleeping and Kevin’s was picked up by Klas. A perfect day according to the kids I guess as they love them. And today wasn’t any exception as they swam in the pool for the first this year. Well, Klas and Oliver did anyway. Kevin ran along the side and wanted to jump in, but couldn’t get himself to jump as it’s still a little cold. And we’re not surprised that Oliver swam without hesitation, and Kevin chickened out. Oliver seems to be of the tougher kind. Not that it’s always a good thing, but so far he’s showing us a strong and tough attitude with everything he takes on. Will be interesting to follow…..We were served dinner in Furulund! Nice! Thank You grandma and Klas for helping us today. We highly appreciate it!!

Fantastic Monday

20degrees, big sun and clear blue sky! Today is one of those days when we really enjoy each others company and the activities we do. Walked to Furulund for lunch, coffee and splashing in the pool. Then Kevin's friend Maja called and wanted to play while her mother asked if wanted to ride her horses. So of to the farm we went!

Jumping

Another day spent on the farm with the fantastic family Jakobsson. Kevin played all day with Maja which he loves. We only saw them when it was time to eat and when they were thirsty. And when Oliver took a nap after lunch I had great fun with this pony. Apparently she has been throwing girls of during riding lessons so I was going to put her in place today. But I hardly had to put her in place because she must have thought everything we did today was worth keeping me on her back for. We galloped between fields, show jumped and practised vaulting light!

Speedway

Speedway night with granddad and dad. Full action and Kevin totally loved it!

Look he's walking!

Oliver think he has been able to walk for several weeks even if he hasn't been. So many falls and tears has been the result. But today, 2 days from being 9 month old, he took his first controlled steps! Several times! From the sofa to me, from me to the tv, from the tv to the sofa and so on! The little fellow is determine to do what his big brother is doing sooner then what for his own best!

Cold summer

During Easter we had such nice and warm weather it almost felt like it was summer. Today is different- really cold! But when I walked to the store and found bright red strawberries I couldn't resist but to buy some for my friend Anna's visit during lunch today. But while preparing the berries I was so cold that I had to start the fireplace to get some extra heat in the house. Eating strawberries like it was summer, but lighting the fire in the fireplace like it was coldest winter!
I must praise the coffee machine- and coffee- producer NesCafe for their worlds best customer care. I got a message that I had something to pick up at the post. I hadn't ordered anything so thought it was some sort of bug or someone wanting to fool me. It was sure enough a package for me. Two boxes of Nescafe's newly released coffee, for free! Just because we've registered our coffee machine on their web and purchased from their web shop. I call that customer care when it's at its best!! Well done Nescafe!! You now have long a lasting customer.

Long walk

Long nice walk to Furulund for lunch and coffee and a game on Wii Sport together with Klas.
