Thailand, Koh Chang

Our next stop was Koh Chang; an island 3 hours south of Rayong. This is where we met up with grandma and Klas and then Fam Persson later the same evening. The island was a tiny little island without any possibilities to do too much. So the laid back lifestyle just continued. And we weren't complaining. The thing we did complain about was our hotel. What a crappy place. Alina Grande Hotel - never stay here!!! Are selling themselves as a modern, high standard and cosy hotel on the internet. But in reality they are anything but that. The rooms are big, that's about it! Otherwise I would have guessed it was about 30 year old hotel when it was build just 4 years ago. It's not taken care of at all. Even Kevin walked away hungry from their breakfast. Getting your s
room cleaned isn't something you can take for granted. You have to ask specifically for it each morning. And with a dirty pool with broken sun beds around - I absolutely recommend you to look for another place to stay!!!
Luckily grandma and Klas stayed at a nice hotel which we often had our breakfast at and daily used the pool and the wonderful area in and around their pools. They had a waterslide which Kevin totally loved.
The island was small but very nice so we enjoyed our two weeks stay here very much!

Thailand, Rayong

With a 12 hours delayed flight to Thailand, we were happy to finally reach our first destination; a little village 30 min from Rayong. The hotell was really great and worth the price. It had 5 swimming pools, a gym, a spa and was just 10 m from the ocean with a never ending white beach!
This is where we spend our first week in Thailand. Just the three of us and a very relaxing lifestyle with absolutely nothing planned. But we did one shoppingtour to Pattaya and one sightseeing to Rayong just to have seen some of the area. Both was fun trips, but what we really needed and enjoyed was the time we got by the pool and with the fantastic food they have in Thailand.

BBQ in the snow

Wonderful day with our friends Maria and Robban, who lives in the forrest!! We had alot of fun at the frozen lake just 5 min from their house. Maria worked up a nice fire in the BBQ! It tasted really nice with hot sausages after sliding around on the lake chasing dad and Robban who was on skates.
When back in the house we defrosted ourselves in front of the fire place and later enjoyed a wonderful dinner and even more wonderful desert!
Thanks for spoiling us today!

Finally Friday! It's been a tought week, going from sleeping in every morning til being waked by mum singing and turning the light on in my room. This is how the last two mornings been like:
With soft singing voice: Wakie Wakie!
Kevin, without opening his eyes: I want to wake up by my self!
I say: There's no time for that today. You're going to grandma and I have the worlds best gruel ready for you and Winnie the Phu on the TV.
Kevin: I want to wake up by my self! Turn the light of!
I say: I'm sorry, but there's no time. Do you want your gruel here in your bed.
Kevin: III waaaant toooo waaake uuup byyyy myyyy seeeelf!!!!!!

Long time no see!

Happy New Year to all of you out there!

It has been some time since you last heard from us. It's been a hectic but great winter. For once it's been a real winter with snow and minusdegree´s. We love it! We've been living in the sledge. Kevin is wild in the snow. Sliding straight down is kind of boring, so trowing himself of the sledge halfway down the hill i smuch more fun. Even better is to stand up in the sledge with mum behind holding him.

Above is from this morning at grandma´s place. The last two days of Kevin´s X-mas holiday is spent with grandma instead of day-care. Even if he misses his friends, grandma is really fun to be with too.
ps... only 16 days left before we're of to Thailand for 3 weeks!! Sorry, just had to write it! :o)
