Swedish National Day

Spent most of this years National Day in the car back home from Västervik. Took 5 hours and went really well thanks to the portable dvd which Klasen was kind and lent us.
We got invited to dinner in Furulund on our way down  south. It was so warm and humid that we didn't even bother going home and unpack first. Went straight to Furulund and right in to the pool.
After nice dinner Klasen was "kind" and let Oliver help him self to some dessert; chocolate pudding. You can see in the picture how that went!!!

Västervik day 4

This is the view Anna and I had from the spa at Gränsö Castle. Was just as tropical and nice as it looks. We spent a couple of hours there to reload our batteries.

Västervik day 3

The day of hangover!;-) Our men couldn't handle the wine yesterday and forgot to drink any water between. Therefore they weren't of any use before 3pm. Hopeless.
But we managed to have a great day by the waterfront. The kids love to play in the water.
Fantastic bbq even this evening. We changed the wine to cheese and crackers.

Västervik day 2

 

 

 

Second day in Västervik we did the city. This beautiful town just by the water has got exactly the size and tempo that we like. We checked out the shops, the playground and a nice lunch restaurant.
When we got back we had a coffee break by the water. Then a fantastic bbq was served with the best rose wine we've ever tasted. This wine was so good that even dad had a couple too many glasses.

Västervik day 1

 

 

First day in Västervik with family Ericsson. Fantastic weather and a comfortable vacation tempo made this into a very cosy day. We went for a long walk with the kids, had lunch outdoor and I manage to squeeze in a 7,5km run. Lovely company, the kids in a happy mood all day, chilled rose wine, cold beer...a perfect first day of this holiday!

Firewood

 

Nice breakfast together with half of family Adolfsson. Then filled the car with our luggage for the long weekend which we'll spend 5 hours up northeast in Västervik together with family Ericsson.
Picked up my grandma's old wedding anniversary ring from 1975 that I've had to take down one size. Now I'm proudly wearing it on my right hand.
