Xmas 2016

Xmas this year was spent at our place with close family. Daniels brother with family and parents and mum and Klasen was with us. This year the REAL Santa came by! Ones in a lifetime the real Santa have time to visit. This year he had time for us!
A very nice Xmas with happy kids and too much food! But first Xmas without grandpa and my dad which was very sad.

Making Cancles @ Hallongården

Oliver was jealous when I went to make candles the other week so when I read that they offered a drop-in today for everyone who want to make their own candles for Xmas. So we dragged along grandma and had a super nice day together. I wasn't surprized that Oliver did very well as the handyman he is!

New wardrobe

Daniel have been shaping up fine and have been  complaining about everybody else being so well dressed so I had to give him some outfits for his birthday. We had a fantastic day with clothes to Daniel in focus and we found many nice outfits for him (and some shoes happened to jump in my shopping bag as well) But we're both extremely happy those full-days shopping happens about every 10th year!!

Wrestling Falkenberg

Kevin's biggest wrestling cup so far and he was only invited by his coach to watch and learn as this isn't for beginners. But he surprized us all with many fantastic rounds and a well deserved 2nd place!

B12 shortage

After feeling crap since this Summer I eventually had to go and see a doctor since I can't feel my legs and it's like my muscles are completely drained from energy and constantly filled with lactic acid. Some blood tests later I got a letter saying I have B-12 shortage with recommendations getting 10 injections of something called Behepan. Said and done and it's slowly feeling better. Still some tests to do to try to explain why I suddenly couldn't feel my legs anymore.

Fab Sunday

Welcoming Mio to the world on Friday. Our friends Jenny and Tobbe were proud parents to little Mio who arrived while we were in Norway so we first got around to visit them this weekend. Such a gorgeous baby! Kevin was amazed of how small his feet were. Almost as tiny as his own thumb!
Saturday morning was spent with Klasens parents Leila and Kenneth which are always spoiling out boys with crackers with way to much butter!! No wonder my boys live visiting them. Plus they are amazing bonus grandparents that we are fortunate to have in our lives💜
Sunday was one of the better days for all family members. Oliver got part of his birthday gift; to drive a 4 wheel drive and a digger! He simply can't get enough of  these machines. Plus Kevin got his first lesson in flyfishing. First without the hock. But since he showed such talent he soon got a pair of glasses and was fishing for real with great technique. Daniel was also lucky when fishing so we came home with some extra kilos lovely salmon.

Vetten Opp mountain race

420 metre height difference, 3,8 km distance and an average 11 degree angle uphills. Poor Linda and Anders visiting from Gällivare was enrolled to this race. It's very different, but for some reason lots of fun. All of us did very well and two hours after we all talked about next years race!

Fantastic Norway

Oliver have asked to make his own sushi for a long time. Today we had some hours for our selves so we did it from scratch. Such talents! They turned out really nice. Could it be the view from the kithen table that made it?

Even if North of Norway isn't the place for sunbathing and swimming it doesn't mean there's no beaches. There's many smaller almost tropical beaches hidden away just next to the mountains that's lots of fun to play on. Many hours was spent on this beach just around the corner from the cottage.
This position was taken very often during our stay in Norway. Either with the morning coffee when you woke up before everyone else. Can't say what it is exactly that makes this place my absolute favourite. The view, when the porpoise family is jumping in front of you, the sea eagle is catching it's dinner or when a fisherman is setting out his fishing net simple does something to me and my wellbeing. It's something that I can't really explain. It's just total relaxation and I love it!

Heartbreaking

Kevin spent most of the day playing with friends so grandma only had Oliver to pick up this Thursday. Grandma took Oliver to a favourite local flowershop as he wanted to get mum flowers. They asked if he could make his own arrangement and sure he could. With great enthusiasm he did very well.  He even wrote his own card with "world's best mum" Totally heartbreaking.

Last day in school this term

Finally the day Kevin have been waiting for. Time to say goodbye to teacher and schoolwork for a wanted summerholiday. A lovely breakfast together with the whole class and all parents before singing summerinspired songs in the gymnastic hall.
Afterwards we got several kids with their parents to come along to Tirups Herbgarden for lunch, cake, coffee and play at their playground. Sunny hours and happy kids made a great afternoon.
Both kids played with friends when they got home while Daniel got great help from Klasen, Håkan and Tobbe to get lots done on our woodendeck. Appreciate all the help we've got lately. It's worth everything for us! Thank God for your help!

Swedish national day

Swedish national day haven't been a public holiday for very long in Sweden so we still don't really know how to celebrate the day. Daniel was working hard with our garden project which is really coming along very nice and at last we went to mum and Klasen for a swim in their pool.

Taco Friday

Taco is our traditional food on Fridays. So also tonight. But we got to share the tradition with our lovely friends; family Adolfsson and fam Hjalmarsson. Kids played and was running around while we small talked over a glass of red.
Oliver and his friend found themselves comfortable at the very top of our appletree. -mum, it's very good view from here!

BeachBBQ on a Tuesday

With our huge garden project at home we're often splitting the family up to give Daniel peace to work. Tonight it was again with the great help from Rickard. And boy did they got things done! Impressive.
In the meantime i took the kids and met up with two other families on a lonely beach with bbq's, hamburgers and surfboards! Considering the thunder and lightning earlier today it was a bit of a chance to go to the beach. But the temperature was so high that it was worth a try. If only for a quick dip in the sea. But the wind dissappear and we got one of the better nights at the right place. And the kids loved to surf which meant that I had to run allot.

Busy weekend

What a weekend! Kids went to grandparents in Malmö early on Friday. So grateful that they can and want to spend time with our boys.
We got the boat in the water and drove out for a first trip in the Sound this year. Daniel surprised me by having bought sushi from Lund for dinner on the boat. Lovely quiet night!
On Saturday I woke up by Daniels alarm. Not the best sound to wake up to. But it was for a good reason coz Daniel had booked us a table at Grand Hotel in Lund. Their breakfast is something extra and we ate for hours.
Then we went to Malmö and I got to try Floating as an early Mothers Day treat. It was very relaxing.
After picking up the kids we went home and had Jenny & Tobias with their gorgeous Colin for dinner. Quite funny memory from tonight was the fact that they loved my cooking and when telling them the ingredients it had both  cauliflower, parsley and coconut which they both really hate. But the combination I served it with they loved.
On Sunday we got plenty small things done plus swimming in mum and Klasen pool as well as a wonderful girly evening with dinner on the boat in the Sound with a curious seal joining us.

Porpoise safari

Kevin got the experience his birthday present; A Porpoise Safari @ Kullaberg, from Lena, Håkan, Sofie, Rickard, Johanna and Daniel today. The booking in the afternoon got cancelled with short notice because of the windy weather and replaced with an earlier tour hoping it wouldn't get to windy. It got very windy which made it hard to catch the porpoises, but Kevin said he saw one. But thanks to the superfast and powerful speedboat they were travelling with Kevin had an impressive trip even if he only saw one porpoise. That he got to stand next to the skipper and feel the speed and jumps on the waves standing up was very impressive for our little boy who seems to have got his mothers gene for speed.
Oliver got the opportunity to come along and spend some quality time with Lena, Johanna and little Agnes which he was over the moon for being asked to.
Thank You so much for giving our boys a day to remember! A perfect gift for our 9 year old!!

Raw food workshop

Raw food workshop with my friend Ullis was a very inspiring evening. With only raw food the chef made us a selection of summer- & picnic-food!  So good!
