New Year

  

Looking back at a year where Thailand with fantastic family Bendsen, North Norway seeing our favourite friends, my cousin becoming parents to a adorable daughter and grandpa's sad journey with his chocking lungcancer diagnosis are the best and worst highlights from 2015.

We rounded off 2015 and welcomed 2016 in a typical Berg way; relaxed, beautiful nature, fishing, sauna and with friends that appreciate the same.

Brought some other friends today for a visit to another forest with bbq and simple but appreciated play.

Xmas break from school

Being outdoor is the best thing ever. So with good clothes and some extra kids we went on a hike for the day on our bikes.
My friend Madde happened to also be at home with her children plus friends so they joined us for lunch and play by the lake in the forest in Furulund where you can't go by car.
Non of us had troubles falling asleep tonight.

A privilege

  

Sometimes when our schedule doesn't work well with our logistic it's a privilege to have grandparents! Yesterday was such day when Daniels shift at work and my Xmas dinner at work wasn't a good match. Thank god for grandparents in Malmö for always making it so fun for our boys to spend time with you and Thank god for Klasen for being my chauffer in the middle of the night. Not sure what we would have done without you.

Xmas surprise

What a lovely surprise when a early Xmas gift arrived today from our wonderful friends in northern Norway. A homemade meat roll and present for Oliver and Kevin to be opened on Xmas eve. 
It made our day and it's all our pleasure to have get to know you guys. Such friendship is worth a million.

Wrestling 22nov

Kevin's first wrestling competition at his home club was a success in so many ways, we are all overwhelmed. Two loses and two wins. All grandparents,  Persson's, Johanna with family and trainingfriends from his club was the best supporters ever. Even grandpa from hospital was cheering and had his brother (a former Olympic wrestler) sent congrats and tips.
But best of us all was Kevin. With some tense nerves he went up on the math each time and showed a focus we've never seen before. Even after the two losses in a row he reloaded and went up a fourth time "on stage" and showed an amazing will and fascinating determination to end as the winner! So he did.
Ended in this place. Congrats Kevin!

Christmas wreath 27nov

  

Nice calm taco dinner just with our family.  After a whole week with all activities that involve and with the bad news of grandpa's lungcancer we had to take in it was very needed with a calm dinner together.
When dishes was done we took our torches and kids took their bikes and of we went to the countryside for some stable time where we created Christmas wreaths. Pitch black night is was pretty exciting to walk out between the farms to get to the Jakobsson's.

Oliver & Bubba 13nov

 

Sometimes day-care need to close down for a day and to Oliver's favour he got to spend this Friday with Daniel at his job. This sometime so shy kid became best friend with the biggest guy with the wildest beard! Maybe because he had the coolest machine.

Halloween 31okt

Traditionally halloween att our place with very good friends. Tonight we realise that you never get too old for playing games. Some sillier than others but with so much laughter that we cried.

Surprise for grandma in Helsingör 7nov

Klas had planned a whole days activity to surprise and celebrate grandma's birthday.
Mum was told to get ready for a while day somewhere and to dress warm. She guessed Copenhagen. But instead family Berg met up on the bus and Klas children Thomas and Linda met up on the trainstation in Lund. And of to Helsingör we went to have a great day together. Visiting a pub, shopping and the best ribs every at Rib House restaurant. Can warmly recommend this place!
Greatful for this day together. Thank you very much!

Sunday with energy 15nov

A Sunday with too much energy......make a fruitbowl,  book a date with
people you love, get your bike out and meet up at an outdoor gym and let
everyone have a go for hours.

Felix,  Johanna,  Daniel and Agnes!

Making candles 15 nov

Second year in a row I spent hours making candles with Daniels mum and Daniels brothers wife at the cozy Hallongården. It was again a generous gift from Daniels mum.
It's so much fun. No kids, quiet, fantastic coffeebreak with scones and you get to be creative. Love it.

Best breakfast with best friends

Traditionally this time on the year my best friends and I meet early one day of one weekend to be the first visitors starting the superb breakfast at Grand Hotel in Lund. Outstanding breakfast and the best way to celebrate all our birthdays which is all within 2 month.

In the afternoon I went with the kids to the Activity Park to kick ass with their kickbikes. Today they also went nuts on the military track. Always lots of fun. But I do hope it's OK for mum's to also give it a go one day. Coz it's veeeery tempting and I know I won't be able to stay on the bench for much longer.

Surprisingly grandma and Klasen asked if they could have the kids tonight until tomorrow morning without any reason. We thought for a second to go to a sportsbar to watch NZ rugby world games semi final, but decidedly to stay at home and try to find some energy. Can't remember last time we could eat or dinner without constant stress from the kids or even just be able to watch something on TV without interruptions. Wow, was this how it felt?!
Watching All Blacks play brings back so much memories to my time in NZ. Miss the place and people so very much.

Boys-Fishing-Weekend

  

For several month Kevin and Daniel have been counting down for this weekend when they can have their boys-fishing-weekend on their own. On Saturday they were of to Bondemölla to socialise and have dinner together with other friends and family and prepare for early morning fishingstart on Sunday.
Already before 4am Daniel heard Kevin asking if it was time to go fishing soon. Eeee. .....no not quot yet. Alarm was set to 6am so still 2 hours to sleep. But to be 100% ready Kevin got dressed at 4am and went to bed again. At 6 he got up and away he went. And it paid off course he got the first fish if the day. Then a second and a third came soon after.
If we thought he was talking allot about fishing before. ....I'm not sure we can expect it to get any calmer. But it's ok as the whole family loves fishing.

Kåveröd

 

With our sleepingbags we went to Kåveröds  lake and it's windshed right by the lake for a weekend together with Madde, Robin and their kids.
4 degrees at night and crispy air.
Such a nice break from the daily stress and musts.

Meat tasting

 

Thanks to grandma from Malmö who spent some hours with the kids it was possible to surprise Daniel with an evening of Meat Tasting at a local shop/restaurant in Kävlinge. Mainly beef but also lamb was the subject of the evening. Such a great night. Fantastic food and we learned heaps how to make sure you get the best quality meat and therefore also more likely get the best tasting meat for dinner.
We can highly recommend Matmakarna in Kävlinge!

More Norway

Guys-trip to Norway

 

Daniel and his friend Andreas went a week to Norway on their own. With pressure from their wives they finally booked the flight and rental car and went far up north.
-An experience beyond any. No pictures can ever explain how spectacular nature the is.
From home we've followed their expeditions. Fishing from a pier with the company of killerwhales just 100m out, catching a 15kg codfish and several halibut as well as seeing mooses along the roads.
With baggage filled with filleted fish and whale meet they were very welcomed home today.

Skatepark

 

The locally newly built skatepark is our new favorite place. Or boys have so much fun there and yhey learn new tricks on their kickbikes every time. And I'm amazed there's not more crashes. So many kids in different ages and everyone just look after each other. Cool!
