Halloween

Halloween party with crazy friends where we ate Pumpkin throw-up, Monster fingers, Ghost cake and Eye biscuits. One were dressed up more scary than the other. Thanks to grandma for helping out with preparations and to make this night so successful.

Tapas and Wine @ St Michel

After a very good meeting with Kevin's school concerning Kevin and his hearing and what can be done to help him.
Daniel forced me to bike to the school and I understood afterwards why. He'd booked a table at a Tapas & Wine restaurant in Lund. A quick stop at a bar for a glass of wine/ beer before a perfect night at the restaurant. Such tasty food! Very long time ago since I had such nice food. Can really recommend this place!
And how nice it is to be able to talk like two adults!! No interruptions at all. I really miss that and this night was well deserved and I'm spoiled to have a husband like Daniel taking care of us and pressing the Pause-button every now and then. Love you!

Autumn break

Autumn break this week at school and our boys were fortunate to get asked to spend two days with grandma and grandpa in Malmö. In the middle of 3 weeks rainy days they got a sunny first day together which was spent in the forest. I can just imagine how pleased my boys were with that choice of activity!

In the stable

Stopping by Mariette's stable today. Kids love to be around the stable and the animals there and I enjoy the chat I then get with Mariette and Bengt. Great friendship!

Pouring down all day long.

Breakfast in Malmö, trying to find some smart storage at Ikea which we failed with big time, good lunch at grandpa and Poungs place, working out trying to follow our kids around at Leo's fun house together with grandpa, Daniels brother with son, dinner at Pappi's local restaurant before a long bath at home for all family members.

Copenhagen

I was surprised today when Daniels parents showed up just after 7 am at home. They came to take care of the kids because Daniel had planned a day just the two of us. What a man!!
First our favorite place;  the breakfast buffé at Grand hotel in Lund. Follows by a day in Copenhagen. Out of all the rainy days we've had lately we got a wonderful day on the other side of the sound today. Didn't shop anything, which you normally do when in Copenhagen, but a nice walk taking in the capital atmosphere and some nice drinks at cozy pubs before heading home for some sofa hang.
What a day! Love it. Thanks to Daniel for the initiative!!

Here we go again

The other day we were told that Kevin had been behaving very bad towards another girl in school and even towards a teacher.  We were not happy and a long family meeting followed that night as we want to understand what's on Kevins mind as we don't recognize the side of him they explain when he's around home.  But he can't explain and claim he doesn't even remember.  Black out??
As same kind of incidents happened more than ones last year as well we were told there would be meetings about Kevin and an action plan. We welcomed this and was very eager to talk about it and make some common plans and actions together with his teachers. But we never heard of any meetings and when reminding them about it we got avoiding answers and nothing further happened. Easy to complain and tell the parents how much a student is a negative factor in the class but so very hard to do something about it.
Yesterday we booked a meeting with a mentor at his school with copy to the manager of the school saying we won't accept complain after complain about our son without anyone willing to act!!
And funny enough his teacher called last night saying she was worried about Kevin. GOOD!! FINALLY!! I think we're getting somewhere..... fingers crossed that this will be the breakthrough for us and Kevin to get on top of his behavior in school.

Boring but necessary Sunday activity

Today we finally got around to take the fight with our carport storage. We've let it became a chaos over too long time and today was the day Pernilla had put a big cross in our diary to get in control again. And after 6 hours we were finally in control again and had several bags for the recycling station and some things too nice to throw away which we'll try to sell.
Kids were fortunes to be able to spend the day with birthday boy Håkan and Lena.

Weekend in the bush

Everything was packed and ready for take off as soon as we got home from work/daycare/school on Friday to be able to get to the forest as soon as possible. Got the military tent in place and the camp fire started with great teamwork together with the half of family Hansson and family Madeleine/Robin. The kids didn't ask for their Ipads once and handle the extremely casual weekend without any luxury what so ever very well. A but cold at night, but had crystal clear blue sky all days and could really relax and enjoy the beautiful forest of Skäralid.

Hike

Our family is now ready for a full weekend without any musts, computers, internet, mobiles, showers, fridge or any other luxuries. Instead we'll have a militarytent, wood to keep the fireplace alive, an endless forest and two other families who also want to escape the hectic week-day-life. So if you try to contact us coming three days, it'll have to wait until later.
