Today we became boat owners!!!!
The camper van is now for sale and we'll be found in the sound instead of at camp sites. When we started to think and talk more about getting a boat we got warmed about the fact it can take up to 15 years to get a place for a boat in a harbour. With that in mind we thought we better start with that before even looking for boats. But during our visit to our favourite harbour we were so extremely lucky to know the right people who happened to have a friend with a fisherman cottage in the harbour that there always is a place for the boat included. But this man think he's to old for a boat and are spending most of the year abroad so is not interested in lending his spot to someone he's not in control of. But since Daniels uncle was willing to be the middle hand the man was all of a sudden very interested in lending the boat spot to us...for half the normal price!! That opened up the door to start looking for a boat. A smaller fishing boat soon became a Flipper 575 with good features to be both a great fishing boat, a sunbathing boat and stay the night boat with enough power in the motor to have some fun with an air tube after!

Oliver-grandma-Klasen Day
Grandma and Klasen is now back from Malaga and wanted to get some quality time with the boys. Oliver was first to get the chance to visit the big train at Klasens work. Ever got the chance to drive it!! Then it was creative session on the pool deck. Is it the new Picasso we see??
Looks like an awesome day and I'm sure there will be much for him to tell when we get him back tomorrow.

Roller blades
On shaky legs Kevin was a happy owner of a pair of roller blades. This was what he wished for when school was though for him earlier this year and he needed a motivator to try to make him think before he acted. And it helped because we were not called to any more meetings and now the roller blades are his.
Good go Kevin!

Bring in the hay
Great thing about having farmer friends is that you can still be asked to be involved in their routines. Weather it's riding a horse or two, cleaning the stables or as tonight bringing in the hay. I simply just love it!

Finally
A very creative and productive day at home today. Finally
got our details to our little entrance corner in place with roof, air con cover
and my little tree.
Kids played with friends and had friends around who also
"helped out" painting.
Pernilla rounded of the night with a surprise-trip in a
cabriolet to the beach with two beautiful girlfriends, homemade craps and rosé wine. Thank God for efficient days which ends like this!

Camping in Olofström
Camping for a week in Olofstrom with family Bendsen. The
most tropical and beautiful week during our holiday so the days went by with
sunbathing and swimming in the lake. Too hot to get up to much else.
Baked fresh seed bread and boiled eggs every morning for
breakfast. Then spent the days in the water or in the shadow in the forest. Tried to take our bikes in to the little town of Olofström, but it was only to realize it was too hot and that we needed to get back into the lake again.
We can't remember last we could relax this much during a
holiday. No musts, no stress what so ever and best of all our kids have found
some sort of holiday rhythm and are sleeping until closer to 7.30 and some times
even 8am!!!! The kids are happy and played for long moments on their own in
the sand or on the water which is first Summer we feel we don't have to watch
them or help them and best of all they didn't ask for us to be around them all
the time. Sounds awful maybe to enjoy when you kids don't want you...but this is the case for us. The relationship doesn't get so intense and it seems as we're all enjoying each others company much more this way.
That the camping is a calm and laid back place, our camping company Bendsen like it nice and calm is also a great factor to this a successful recovering camping week.

Gothenburg
Because Daniel and Tobbe manage to loose the 10% of the total weight between Christmas and Midsummer their wife's had promised them a get away. Gothenburg it was with hotel in the city with nice dinner, great Stand-Up and good shopping. A very nice get away with our much lighter husbands.
With only a little discipline to say no thanks to most of the desserts and cakes together with no more bread it meant 10% of Daniels start weight. Well done to both of them!!

Chickens
Our chickens are growing fast and they're almost full size now and it should only be about 6-8 weeks before we're hoping to be able to get our first egg from them.
We guess there's 6 rooster out of the 16 chickens we got some time back.

Vesterålen, North of Norway - A silent paradise!
You know the feeling when talking to someone who says you're welcome anytime and you wonder if they really mean it or it's just a nice phrase to say. Well, last week we decided to check how much was in the offer. We asked, got a You're certainly very welcome at all times! and a day later we had flights and rental car booked for departure 2 days later to Vesterålen, North of Norway. Spontaneity is the shit!!
Vesterålen is not to be mixed up with Lofoten (which I happened to do ones, but will never do again!!) Hardly any tourist to be seen, no mobile coverage, no TV where we stayed, hardly any shops, untouched nature and the most friendly local people around. It was love at first sight!!!
Stayed in Gustad with Herdis, Frank-Tore, Haakon and Albert in their 300m2 "cottage", Herdis lovely parents in Haugen, went with borrowed boat from Sund, sightseeing to small places around, walked "på tur" and watched the midnight sun.
Apparently we were extremely lucky with the weather as it was clear blue sky, hardly any wind and around 20 degree's all days! The spectacular landscape was shown in best possible way to us. And we made sure to enjoy it fully.
The fact it never gets dark up here doesn't make it easy to sleep. It doesn't even get a little bit darker than at noon. Kids often went to bed around midnight. Daniel came back home at 4am from a fishing tour with Frank-Tore and last night we had to go to bed at 2am because we knew we had to start drive at 7am.
With a freezer filled with fresh fish caught by ourselves is a little extra and I wonder if Daniel will let us task his delicious 6,5kg halibut.
We can't thank Herdis and Frank-Tore and Herdis parents enough for making our "little" trip to Vesterålen in North of Norway to be one of our most enjoyable holidays in a very long time. It'll be a memory for ever and we hope to see you again, up north or down south!?

Guess our destination?
Trip report will follow when we're back home because there's no mobile coverage to be found where we're going and I'm looking so much forward to put my phone far far away and just relax and enjoy this spectacular place.
See you later alligator!

Hot hot hot
Another hot day with high humidity. Brought bread rolls to grandma and Klasen for a breakfast together before a swim and getting our hair cut.
Then spent a couple of hours with family Adolfsson who also have a pool which was very appreciated for hours.
Ended up at home for BBQ with family Adolfsson.
