Between the showers we manage to BBQ a nice lunch. Life is great!

Osby Camping

Osby camping with great friends family Bendsen and Persson!
But before leaving home our boys had lots of fun (for once they weren't fighting!) and when they wanted to draw I arranged pens and papers. While I kept preparing lunch and smiling because they were drawing so nicely and quiet. Yea right!!! One minute later they came out both very pleased with their artwork - on each other!!! All over their body they'd been drawing. From inside the ears to toes!!!! I stopped smiling very quick!!

Long fantastic day

Very long, fun, extremely tropical and social day. Full action at Tosselilla fun-/water park with family Bendsen followed by spontaneous delicious BBQ in Simrishamn with Lena and Håkan.

Sun, sun, sun

Another day in the sun. And we're loving it. I walked with the kids to Furulund to cool down in the pool while Daniel did some work around and in the house.
Granddad came and played in the afternoon before going to Dösjebro for BBQ with great friends. We also caught all their aquarium fishes, shrimps and snails because they didn't want it anymore. Our boys was over the noon to extend their aquarium at home with new family members. Let's just home they are welcomed by our fishes. The coming days will give us the answer!

Day at the beach

Second tropical day at the beach!! Today with company of family Adolfsson and Sassarsson. Even mum and Oliver swam, that's how warm it was!
Rounded of the day with take-away and homemade rhubarb/strawberry pie with family Sassarsson at our place.

Skånes animalpark

We did Skånes animal park today with family Bendtsen. Had a fantastic day in sunny warm weather. Rounded of with BBQ with company of Chrille with family that visited us for the evening. Always nice with spontaneous visits. And the fact that it was nice enough weather to eat outdoor only made the evening even better.

Injured Oliver

Camping life at Swedish best family camping 2012 offered another fantastic day. Strange weather with pouring rain mixed with sunny moments. But we swam, played minigolf, BBQed and enjoyed another day without stress.
Our little Oliver is not the happiest camper today. His old wound on his toe is infected and sore and a new wound on his other toe is hard to keep clean and is painful too. But try to get an almost 2 year old to stay out of dirty places!!!!

Good rainy day

Even a very wet way can turn out very well with some planning and positive attitude. The boys had lots if fun in the waterslide in pouring rain while the rest of us enjoyed a good movie with the younger kids. Then we went to the fun house Busfabriken where we had lunch and ran around for four hours. Late afternoon we did some sightseeing at Väla shopping mall where we also had dinner before going back. The crappy weather changed to a calm but cold evening which we enjoyed together with friends, wine, guitar and nostalgic singing.

Lake Oden

After breakfast we went crazy by the pools and waterslides! Not sure if the fathers or the kids enjoyed it the most?!
After lunch we went for a long walk to my favourite lake; Lake Oden. It's the nicest place in Skåne by far. Here we relaxed, took in the atmosphere, BBQed march mellows and watched a young boy catch his first big salmon.
Today family Bendtsen also arrived to the camp site and we had a nice social get together in the, for once!, nice evening.

Skäralid

Today we did Skäralid and Kopparhatten. A fantastic scenery and stunning view. Except the rain just when we ate our BBQed lunch, we had a great day!
Our caught salmon was a highlight at dinner.

Röstånga

Another day camping life with funny weather with pouring rain and hot sunshine taking turns at least 20 times today. But we didn't care, just changed clothes as often as the weather changed. Had a successful fishing day as you can see with this salmon. A swim among the pools and waterslide, walk in the forest, fishing and great BBQ for dinner made this a very good day.

Grand Hotel

Today it was time for the surprise my cousin Johanna was promised on her birthday two weeks ago. The only information she had was to prepare her bike, be ready at 7am, nicely dressed and set of 5 hours. I picked her up with my own bike at 7am, biked with her 15km to Lund to Grand Hotel where I'd booked their fantastic breakfast buffet. We enjoyed it fully and she seemed pleased.
When I got back we packed the last things before taking our camping van to Röstånga Camping. Daniels brother and girlfriend joined us tonight as well as family Ericsson who has their rented camping van. Had a fantastic day/evening together!!!

BBQ

BBQ with the whole family down by the river at home. Beautiful evening and happy kids was an ok way to start our holiday together.
Rounded of the evening at family Jakobssons place with coffee, play, cocktail and a nice chat!

Wild strawberries

Last day before three weeks holiday together!! But what a start. Daniel has got lumbago and I've got torticollis which we've both got treatment for this morning. Only difference is that I feel better after exercise and Daniel is happy if he can get out of bed and stand up.
Oh well, holiday is here and we're very ready!
This morning Kevin gave me wild strawberries on a straw. Better sign of summer is hard to find!

Tosselilla

A very long day at Tosselilla with family Adolfsson, Sassarsson, Jagerstedt, Agerström and Nilsson. Kevin has been counting down the days for this day. And he wasn't disappointed. We got the most out of it by getting there by opening and leaving 2 minutes before closing, plus it was a day they had promised rain and crappy weather which didn't happened. But it kept the park very calm and without lots of people and cues.
What a wonderful day!!!

3 km swimming in open water

 

Today was the day of Vansbro Swim, 3km in Open Water. We drove almost 8 hours to get to this tiny little town, Vansbro, which this weekend was the organizer of one of the worlds biggest swim race! And it was impressive how well they arranged the whole event. They didn’t forget one single detail.

It was a very humid day with thunder and heavy rain hanging over us. With only two training sessions in open water and much tensed nerves we jumped in the water at 11am. After about 30 metre it was possible to breathe normal and my body wasn’t in chock because of the 17 degree’s water and I could start to swim. Before we knew it we saw the sign of 2000m left. Already?! I had to speed up because this was way too easy. But I still had to save some energy for the famous last 900metre which is upstream and apparently really tough. The turn and the 900m sign also came way too soon. I had plenty of energy left so I prepared myself for a fast crawl the last 900 metres. The worst that could happen was to cross the finish line with more to give. But all of a sudden it became very crowded and there was no space to swim freestyle. Frustrated I tried to pass as many as possible. But there just wasn’t enough space! So I finished the race after 1,02 hours without feeling the slightest exhausted. What a disappointment.
All praise to the organizer, but the sports performance was under all acceptance.
Thanks to Vivvi and Lina for your company this weekend. Congratulation to Lina who now completed the full Svensk Klassiker!! Very well done. And thanks Vivvi for spreading your positive spirit where ever and when ever.

The kids had a lovely weekend with dad. Not sure what they got up to, but I’m sure there’ll be pictures of that too.

Fantastic Thursday

This fabulous Thursday was great from start till the end. Kevin got the chance to spend the day with his friend, and our Thailand travellers, Mira and her family. Oliver was at the temporary day-care which he doesn’t like at all. But I made my day short at work and picked him up at 3pm. Did some grocery shopping together before starting to prepare dinner at home. Oliver loves helping out in the kitchen, just like his big brother. Sometimes he’s a big help, but sometimes he creates extra work. But hey, it’s worth getting the kitchen dirty if he’s happy and I get the dinner ready. And just in time we had the pie, shrimps, tomato/garlic/basil-salad, coleslaw and olives ready for when family Adolfsson and family Ericsson came around the corner. And what a nice evening out on the deck we had!

I rounded of the evening with another training session out in the sea with Vivvi. Went really well and I think I might even have got the hang of crawling in open water.

Warm up for the weekend

Preparing for this weekend's swimming race, me and Vivvi went reluctantly to Lomma beach to cover 1,5km swim in open water. In max 17 degrees it wasn't as cold as I expected. Quit nice actually. Just by the beach is a popular ice cream place that was very tempting to stop at rather than jumping in the water. But in the water we came and swam the distance that we have decided to swim.
While we were swimming Daniel and the boys ate ice cream in big loads!

Happy Birthday Johanna

It was my cousins birthday today and we celebrated her tonight. Happy birthday Johanna!

Change Lingerie

It was a nice suprise to come home after our long weekend in Västervik as there was a bag from Change Lingerie from Daniel to me with two very nice sets in pink and one in purple. He's starting to get the hang of how to make me feel very good! ;o)
