Simrishamn camping

Another day with non stop rain. But today was the real challenge as big areas on the campsite was flooding. Our tent survived most of the day, but eventually it couldn't defend against the amount of rain and our tent got 2 cm rainwater all over. Karolina and I took a sightseeing to Kiviks apple farm, the gallery of Gunilla Mann and a café before heading back to the campsite where fathers did everything they could to entertain the kids. We tried to enjoy a simple dinner with family Möllers and grandma and Klas who visited us today while others were pouring water away from their campervan-tent. But when everything is wet and it's still raining it's hard to stay cheerful. And as the weather wasn't enough bad influence today I got stomach sick and had to spend most of the evening on the toilet. I can't wait to get back home and get proper roof over my head and dry and clean clothes to choose from in the closet.

Today it was pouring with rain all day long. We started the day slow and was enjoying it to start with thinking that it'll soon stop to rain and we'll be able to go outdoor. But no, the rain kept pouring. After waffles for lunch we went down to the market in Simrishamn where we did some shopping. But in the end the weather won the challenge and we went into a restaurant for dinner before coffee in Möllers cottage.

Finally a perfectly sunny and warm day! We enjoyed it fully. Daniel went for a run in the morning. We spent some time on the beach just 30 m from our campervan. Right after lunch we went to get on the old steam train from St Olof to Brösarp for a little picnic and back again.
Enjoyed a simple but very nice bbq at the campsite with family Persson, Möller and Tobiasson.
Today Kevin became very much bigger when he came back from the playground and asked if he could play with a girl and her brother which he'd started to talk to at the playground. Of course he could after approving the kids and their parents;-) Our little shy Kevin is growing into an independent boy!!!!

Started the day with a short drive to Kivik Together with family Möller. Did some shopping in the outlet, played in the freezing cold water, lunch from the fish restaurant, checked out the playground before we continued to the nature reservation Stenshuvud for a fruit break and soccer.
Back at the campsite we relaxed with family Persson in the sun before Kevin bbqed our dinner. When we were tired enough of chasing Oliver, as he takes every chance of running away exploring on his own, we put him in the dog cage. Just kidding, we didn't leave him there for that long;-)

Went from Vittsjö to Bromölla to get a new roofwindow installed before heading to a new campsite in Simrishamn where we'll stay for the rest of the week.
Met up with Karolina, Martin and Hugo, who has rented a cottage in town of Simrishamn, for a nice dinner. Visited a playground before making some plans of activities we want to do together during the week.

Childhood house in Vittsjö

Made an unexpected visit to Pernillas childhood house where some relatives on grandpas side now lives. Luckily they were home and were very surprised and happy to see us. We had a great day in their company. Went for a walk to check out the neighbourhood which was as remembered.
Kevin and Oliver had a ball with their cute cat Sam.
Spent the night in our campervan on their driveway.

Osby camping

Last breakfast and lunch with family Ericssons company. They returned back home today.
We went out picking blueberries which we found plenty of. Make toast in our waffle maker in the afternoon before a swim in the lake. Kevin helped Daniel do the dishes while I cooked our dinner. After dinner we had family-film-time together in bed with candy for Kevin! Cosy!
Even if our day have been really nice we cant help to have our thoughts and mind with the victims in Norway due to the catastrophic shooting and bomb which took more then 90 lives mostly teenagers. Thinking of you all!

Bathing in the morning before bbq lunch. Then we went to the toy museum Brio where the kids had a great time playing around with all the toys. All parent had a nostalgic time looking at all the toys from good old days!
Visit to a big playground before dinner at local restaurant. Then a last cooling swim in the lake enjoying the fantastic evening.

Rain was in the air most of the day. Therefore morning was kind of slow and we didn't get up to much which was nice.
For lunch we did homemade pizza with the kids. Then fathers took the older kids for a bike ride to Osby town while mothers with juniors went hiking in the forest. Best catch of the hike was the endless wild raspberries we found. We couldn't get enough of them.
In the middle of our campervan is now a bucket due to the leak from the roof window. Service is booked on Monday.

Another fantastic day. Despite the weather forecast of cloud and some rain we got sun and heat! The fathers and the big kids went canoeing for 4 hours! We mothers with the juniors biked along the lakeside until we found a great spot to bbq our lunch. The canoe took a break and joined us halfway on their tour.
Afternoon was spent by the lakefront either in the sand or in the water. The men impressed both us and themselves by going for a run. Well done!
The rosé wine and shrimps that we ate outdoor didn't make the day any worse at all!

What a day! After rain comes sunshine. It was raining hard all night long. But the day gave us the opposite with sun, high temperature and a stunning evening. Walked in the forest after blueberries and raspberries, mum went for a run, bbq for lunch, bathing in the lake, bbq for dinner, minigolf and playing card when the kids had gone to bed. Fantastic day with even more fantastic company and weather!

Checked in at Osby Camping with family Ericsson who has rented a campervan for a week. Got two sites next to eachother just by the lakefront. It was raining whew we arrived and the forecast doesn't look too promising, but first night gave us a fantastic clear and warm night. The kids are enjoying themselves by running around and having a blast, the winebottle is opened and we're really relaxing and having a fantastic time. Cant ask for much more right now!

Nice dinner

Thanks to family Hansson for tonight's fantastic company and dinner. What a great idea to start the tradition that the men always cook the dinner when we see each other!

Monster truck

 

Last day of maternity leave today. Just two weeks holiday with the whole family before it's time to go back to work and time for Daniel to go on paternity leave for six month.
Made therefore sure to enjoy the last day fully with the kids. Had a calm morning before heading to a little zoo where we said hello to some rabbits, goats, sheep and pigs. Then of to a monster truck show in Lund where we also visited Sofie at her job. She let Kevin show of his Mario Car racing on the big flat screen at the store where she works. Thanks Sofie for today!
Went grocery shopping before heading home and started preparing dinner (whole fish which I baked in the oven) for tonight's company; family Möller. Dinner became a success!
