I went to visit my colleagues at Pergo today. And thanks to Klasen, who picked Kevin up at day-care, I could stay and chat and have lunch without stress.
And according to Kevin the afternoon was perfect. Klasen arranged a big baking day with Kevin. And he totally loved it!
So thanks Klasen for this afternoon!

The carpenter team
Daniel and Kevin is acting real carpenter tonight. Bare upper body seems to be the thing!;-)
Kevin love when he can help out! With this speed and interest in always helping out, he'll grow up to be a great handyman.

Babyswim
Today is the baby swim day for Oliver. After a horrible night with hardly any sleep I enjoyed this slow start in a warm pool. But Oliver isn't as keen on the swimming as Kevin was. Above is a picture of Kevin in action. We've also got the opportunity this time to get pictures taken of our babies when diving. But Oliver just panic every time we try to dive so I'm not going to get any pictures taken. I'm not even pushing his anymore. Swimming should be lots of fun and I believe that if I push him to dive he might not like swimming anymore. I mean, what 5-year-old doesn't like swimming. So I'm sure he'll get the hang of playing in water and enjoy it even if he's not a diver as an 8 month old.

Hearing final testresult
Today we went to the doctor who first checked Kevin's hearing and sent us to Malmö for surgery. He could confirm that the pipes that was placed in his hears is placed well and should be of good help for his hearing. But still his left ear is still not good at all. But he's too young to dig deeper into the reason why. Unless it gets worse we'll have to wait and see what happens until we see the doctor again after summer. So if you want to whisper something to Kevin, please make sure you do it in his right ear!

Birthday party!
The birthday party with Kevin's friends went really well. Daniel took the lead in the kitchen with all preparations with drinks, food and ice-cream while I took on the challenge of keeping 12 kids activated for 2 hours. Everything went perfect and I think they all had a great party. Kevin was at least pleased and very tired afterwards.
Thanks to all friends for making Kevin's first birthday part with his friends such a wonderful time for him!

Preparation
Today is another big birthday happening; party with Kevin's friends. He has decided who to invite, decided that the party shall be at the gym with gymnastic as the theme and that everyone will get a bag of candy. So that's the plan. Here he's preparing the candy bags. Very important that everybody get exactly the same!
Johanna and her friend Paula will come and take care of Oliver so that Daniel and I can give Kevin and his friends full attention.

4 years old!!
Our little big Kevin turns 4 year old today! We can't believe where 4 years has just gone by so quickly. And what a good 4 year old we have. We're so proud and the love is just growing.
Today our family came and celebrated Kevin turning 4 year. We BBQ and ate waffles as it's the waffle day today. Kevin got so many nice presents that he didn't wanted to go to bed even if it was past 10pm. We thank all our families for tonight and for the amazing presents!

Skateboard
According to Kevin; a perfect day! We went to Malmö to granddad’s restaurant for some fantastic pizza before going to a big skateboard hall in Malmö. Kevin thought he was in heaven. He didn't do so well, bit just watching the old boys and girls skate on the big ramps made him speechless. The time was 8.30pm when I finally got him with me home. Can warmly recommend this place for any skateboard-fan!

Flu is in the house again
Today started with a comeback as an instructor at the gym for me. Daniel came to the gym with the kids when the class was successes fully completed. Then it was his turn to go for a 10km run with his friends while I stayed at the gym. Kevin loves to play, run and do gymnastic in the big hall so we stayed and did just that. Great fun!
Home, jumped on the trampoline, checked out the capacity of the computer Håkan and Lena came by with (thank you very much!), had lunch with Chrille and Ida, took photos of Oliver with Chrilles flash camera (thanks for your helpfulness!) and then went for a walk in the beautiful weather. But there the good day ended. Kevin threw up on our way back. And kept being sick for the rest of the night.
Hope you're having a better Sunday!

Spring is here!
I saw on the news that the Spring is officially here in southern Sweden. And today we could really feel that the Spring is here with sunny warm weather; 8 degree's! Went to Army kids training at the gym (where I got my nail polished and coffee served while waiting for Kevin and Daniel to finish their training. Luxury treatment of a waiting mother. I like!:-)
Then we spent most day in the garden. Would be a shame to be indoor a beautiful day like this. Got the trampoline set up, the flower beds tidied up and carried out the garden furniture's.
Daniel and I have also invested in ourselves with these running shoes. We trust that these shoes are prepared to take us far and preferably fast since we have a couple of races coming up.
Tonight will be spent on our own with a well cooked roast - nice!

Recyclingstation
After a well deserved coffee break at Carola's café with Anna and Mira we went to Klas. Here Kevin got to help out getting things ready to in to the recycling station. Great fun!
Played with Alma and Alvin while waiting for dad to finish his working week and come home.

Lunchguests
Today Maria and Simon came and had salmon with lime sauce for lunch with us. Long time since we saw them last so it was extra nice to see them today. And little Simon had become so big. Then I picked up Kevin from day-care so all three kids could play.
After dinner we played this game (Kevin won, Daniel lost!) and then Daniel helped Kevin build his own truck!
Kevin also went on his 4-year-old-control today. After all the many tests and conversations with Kevin she couldn't stop saying what a fantastic boy we had. Not many 4-year-old are so well developed in all areas plus has a very high social skill. I'm often proud of Kevin (like every other mother!), but today I got an even stronger confirmation that I have every reason to be proud. All of a sudden every argument with him has been worth while.
So to all parents out there struggling in the middle of an crisis, keep it up because it will pay off sooner then you think.

Wonderful afternoon
What a day! Sunny and with plenty of Spring feeling in the air. Picked up Kevin early from day-care so we could enjoy the nice weather outside. We ended up spending 4 hours outside! First in the garden, then at the playground with Alma, Alvin and Anna and then back playing in the garden again. We have to get use to checking Oliver more often when he's on the swing because this is what happens when he's not being talked to; sound asleep!

Walking
Oliver has got the grip of how to move around in his walking chair. And he does it fast too. It seems as if he really enjoys being able to move around on his own.
I've tried 4 spoons musli with milk this morning. Hope I can keep it down.

Furulund by night
Invited ourselves to Lena and Håkan tonight. Best food we've had in a long time. Lena is a master in the kitchen! After dinner we watched the Swedish song contest together and Lena made it cosy for the kids in the sofa. Thanks for everything tonight Lena and Håkan!
Quality time kit
This morning is my and my girlfriend Anna's quality time. A couple of hours on our own without kids or husbands. Cant get much better then that.;-) So with this kit and a tour to the forest I'm sure we'll have a perfect morning.

Spring is in the air
What a wonderful day! First playmate with lunch at family Ekbergs with 5 other families while it was blowing and raining/snowing outdoor. Then around noon when it was time to in home the sun came out and gave us a wonderful afternoon in the garden.

Pippi Longstocking theme
Pippi Longstocking theme at day-care today. How easy is it to dress out a bot to Pippi? Not at all! So we did out own male version of Pippi.
They got to walk on tables, eat with their fingers, throw pancakes in the air, put all furniture's in the middle of the room and all possible things that is never ever allowed otherwise! The perfect day for a 4-year-old!!

Hearing test
It only takes a few days to get into the same old routines. I'm glad we got our batteries loaded in Sälen because seeing the naked trees, colourless gardens and grey weather here down south isn't very inspiring.
After baby swim with Oliver today I picked up Kevin and went to Malmö to check his hearing now when he has got pipes in his ears. Right ear was perfect but left ear is still not good enough. So we have another couple of visits to different doctors before we can breath out. Lucky I'm on maternity leave so I have plenty of time to show up at all there appointments.

Restless women on maternityleave
Another great Monday with family Henberg-Johansson. The boys had an intensive and fun day.
Vivvi and myself are two very similar girls. Today when we went with the boys to the playground we started to talk about training, get in shape, challenges, upcoming spring/summer etc etc.... and all of a sudden we agreed to do A Swedish Classicer year 2012. Two restless women on maternity leave are no good combination. We've now committed to complete 90km skiing, 300km biking, 3km swimming and 30km running during 2012!

King of the hills
Today we got a new king of the hills - Kevin! After several days of trying to get Kevin to break or at least to turn to get some sort of control over the speed without success, we got a big breakthrough today. All of a sudden he just found the technique of breaking. He could now go both up the lift and down the hill by him self. Skiing became so much more fun for him that he didn't wanted to stop. Just the way you want it to be on a skiing holiday!

Gave up/ Comeback
Another sunny day in paradise! Kevin skied with Tobias and did really well today. Much more accepted to get instruction from someone else but your parents. After a break with blueberry muffin and some play in the snow Kevin badly wanted to ski again. But this time he went up on his own! He also tried to go down on his own which resulted in a couple of great falls. But after some pep talk he was up and away again.
Daniel on the other hand gave up and did a comeback within an hour. After trying a little too steep slope he gave up and said this wasn't anything for him. But then he found a more suitable hill and he did a great comeback and skied like never before.
Tonight it was time for bbq which the men prepared at the same time as enjoying a beer and a cigar.

Dress smart
Today we have cold wind and several minus degrees. It's therefore important to dress the kids well. Think we have managed pretty well with Oliver. Not sure he'll forgive us for making him look like a seal!
