A very slow after-ski

Daniel is now handling skiing very well. Kevin has been trying hard but have still a way to go before skiing on his own. I'm back in skiing business but still need to work on some last details.
Now we're relaxing in the cottage with crackers, olive salsa, fire in the fire place and sauna almost warm enough.

The boys got so warm in the sauna so they cooled down in this way:

Todays activity!

On our way

It's 2am and we're on our way up north.. Kids are sleeping in the back, I'm in the middle of them ready to serve them with whatever needed. It's going to be interesting to see how many breaks we'll have to take to either go to the toilet, stretch our legs or change a diaper.
Hope you're all sleeping tight!

Packing

Everything is now packed for our first ski holiday together. Tonight at 2am we're of to Sälen. About 10 hours drive from home up north. Cant wait!

Cleaning and baking

Oliver has got high fever:-( so it's another slow day for family Berg. Since I was baking until late last night the kitchen looked like hell when we got up today. So after breakfast I had to take on the challenge of tidying up. Went pretty fast, but it's sooo boring to be cleaning at the same time as entertaining two kids. Kevin is calling for attention all the time as he has got his first computer from Klasen and of course want help to get started.
Baked this healthy bread today for lunch. Lets see if a healthy bread without meal can taste good!?

Cute

I've just downloaded a new photo program and started to play with different effects. Went through some photos and found this one. I love it!

A perfect pottering day

We had one of the best days in a very long time today! Went to family Henberg-Johansson´s for a full day of pottering. We did many different things from pearl plates to plaster figures. And in between we had breakfast, fruit break and lunch. A perfect day with happy boys and wonderful company! Thank You Vivvi, Isak and Nike for today. Already looking forward to seeing you on Friday!

Ended the day with a stop at grandma and Klasen´s place for a haircut. Then home for dinner and starting to fill up the storage for our ski-trip coming week by baking. The result: 15 blueberry muffin´s and 50 pizza bun's.

Plans for next week

A great sign that I'm feeling better is that I'm starting to give orders of things that needs to be done and that I'm making plans for the coming week. It could also be that I've taken a good painkiller. ;-) Daniel will never give me a painkiller again!
Next week is the sports holiday for all schools and day-care kids. So we have a busy schedule in front of us filled with fun activities.
On the picture above Oliver is sound asleep with Daniel and Kevin playing games on Daniels iphone. Being born as number two is a totally different thing. Being able to sleep in the middle of two competitive and not so quiet persons is something that only a little brother/sister is able to do.

The flu

Luckily I rarely get sick, and if I do I don't admit it to anyone or myself. But yesterday I got sick for real. I even had to tell my family that they couldn't count on me for the rest of the day. And so it was. I went to bed shaking from high fever. Went up ones for dinner and to breastfeed Oliver, then straight back to bed again.
The fever is now gone but my body is aching. And with mother and father in law helping out with the kids I will allow myself to feel slightly better before jumping in to the speedy life we are living.
Thanks to Daniels parent for assisting us a day like this. Highly appreciated!

Hotel weekend

Spent Friday night in Helsingborg with tapas dinner, coffee bar and a night at a hotel with Daniel and Oliver. Kevin stayed at the Perssons.
A nice way to calm down which we all deserved.
A shame the trip ended with high fever for me. Totally knocked out for most of Saturday.

Friendship

We're blessed to have several fantastic friends around us. Just look at this card that arrived in our letterbox today on Valentine's Day. I totally fall in love with this wonderful family. At the same time I'm ashamed that I haven't thought about sending similar card to the ones that we appreciate and love to have as our friends.
Therefore I want to take the opportunity here on our blog to thank family and friends for being there and making our life filled with great moments to remember. I'm proud to know you all and even if you live in NZ, USA or next door, you have all a permanent place in our hearts!<3

Happy Valentine's Day

Wishing everybody a nice Valentine's Day! We're spending the day with Kevin's friend William and his mum and our babies. Always fun to be with this family! Thank You for a nice Valentine together!

New jacket

Kevin used his new jacket that he got from Klasen and grandma. Really nice and comfortable. Thanks for the jacket!

Lunch with the Möllers

Family Möller invited us for lunch today in their apartment in Bunkeflostrand. Just as nice as always.
Even if Summer seems far away we made some preliminary plans for this Summer. Looks like we'll be enjoying some time together along the South coast. Looking forward already!

Pedicure

Why pay lots of money getting a pedicure when you can fix it yourself?

Stomach flu again

Here we go again. The stomach flu has hit the family. Started tonight with Kevin throwing up in his bed. Then again... and again. Now he's talkative again and seems ok. But you never know so today will have to be spent at home. I'm crossing my fingers that the rest of the family doesn't get it this time.

I'm wanted;-)

Since I didn't have to drive to Lomma for babyswim today I thought I would give myself a lazy day. But it's funny with the lazy days since I got kids coz when "doing nothing" I still wash clothes, vacuum and clean mirrors and windows from kids handprints and so on. I remember the good old lazy days as much more relaxing. But I guess I'll be able to have real lazy day in just 20 years or so.;-)
But I manage at leased to squeeze a cup of homemade cappuccino in todays schedule.
Forgot to say that when I was as the gym this Monday I was almost convinced to become an instructor again. They begged me to start having classes. Inspiring to be wanted! But it's a shame that people in general are bad at telling each other what a great job they are doing before they are gone. From now on I'll try to think about this and make sure people get to know what they are good at before they quit.

Babyswim cancelled

Since baby swim got cancelled today we had our own swim lesson in the bathtub at home. Not so much swimming, but plenty of splashing!

Country side

Today we went to the country side with our friends Vivvi, Isak and Nike to ride on the little pony at another friends place. Isak had never ridden before but did it without any doubt. Cool guy he is!
After the ride the kids had great fun it the water- and mud- ponds. Therefore the not so clean clothes! But dirty kids are happy kids so I'm not complaining.
Then we went to the shopping mall to eat lunch and to shop some stuff for the coming pottering day. Had a wonderful day together with this great family. Thanks, hope to see you soon again!

After a great Saturday with gymnastic, coffee and play date with friends in Lomma and nice fish-dinner on our own at home, this is what our boys did at 9pm!
