Santa was here

Tonight Santa was here and gave Kevin and Oliver 24 xmas gifts each. One for every day up until xmas. Kevin was really excited and asked Santa many questions. To all our surprise he said yes, without any hesitation, to give Santa most of his dummies. We made a necklace with his dummies and gave to Santa to take home to his kids. The rest of the dummies will Santa get on the 24th. We'll see how that goes!

Felix

Playtime with Felix. But he wasn't too keen on being in the snow!

Xmas feeling

I'm trying to get into some sort of xmas feeling with my kids and my home. Not very successful project as the only thing I feel is stressed. But now some decorations are up and the only thing I can do now is to wait for the right feeling and atmosphere to arrive. What's your secrets to get into a positive xmas mood?

Keeps snowing

And the snow keeps falling! It's very cold but it's also very light and Kevin loves it. Can hardly get him to eat breakfast because he's in such hurry to get outdoor. Today I've promised him we'll take the sled to day-care. Not sure how to manage to pull Kevin with on arm and push Oliver with the other arm. Lucky I'm a woman so multitasking is possible! ;-)

Oliver

Oliver is now strong enough to sit with us by the table. And he loves it!

Fireplace at its best

After dinner and after a bath there's nothing like sitting in front of a wild fire in the fireplace when it's -4 outdoor!

Grandma visiting

Wednesday is babyswim with Oliver. He hated it from the beginning and it was not a pleasant swim at all. Then he slept for 2 hours so I got all the things on my to-do-list done. Ones I got home I prepared dinner just in time before picking up Kevin. We had hot chocolate and a sandwich before relaxing in the sofa in front of Finding Nemo. Suddenly grandma knocked on the window. A surprise visit is always welcome and fun.
Closer to 7 Daniel got home. I worked out before putting the kids to bed and Daniel was of again. This time he went on his first mission to shovel snow with his 4WD in Malmo.

Lazy day

Though for myself what a great lazy day I've had! But when looking around the house I realise that when I feel I haven't done anything the dishwasher has emptied itself, the linen has jumped from bed to the wash machine, the fireplace is lit, bookkeeping done and kitchen cleaned. I love "lazy" days!
Now it's time to pick up Kevin and join the traditional Tuesday get-together with the other mums and their kids.

Coaching stair

Since the fights and the frustrations in our family has increased, I decided this morning while everyone was in good mood to introduce the coaching stair. It was very well received by Kevin who right away wanted to earn "stars". The rules are easy; earn as many stars as possible until Saturday when he can choose as many candy as he has earned stars during the week. This morning went well and he earned 2 stars! The challenge is to keep the stars. Because stars can also disappear if you're not behaving.

New playground

After breakfast Emil and his kids came and played and shared a pot of coffee. We had a fruit break before going to the new playground they've just built on the other side of the road from us. Great fun! Then we drank hot chocolate before heading back home.

The clock project is completed

This morning Kevin and I completed the clock project we've been trying to finish for some time now. It's not easy to find photos that are small enough. But now it's done and we're pleased with  the result. Now everyone will be tested if they can see who's Kevin and who's Oliver. Not even Kevin can see the difference!

Happy birthday dad!

The worlds best dad turns 31 today! His family wishes him a happy birthday!

Dinner with Mollers

Jumped in the car early today to be able to check out some campervan stores. First place, whickham we'd been recommended, was a big joke. They asked if we were looking at buying a new van. When we told them our budget they pointed us to have a look in the back yard on our own. Great! With such bad service I knew I wasn't gonna buy anything there. But we had a quick look and left in a hurry. Went to another place who showed us exactly what service and social skill is all about. We didn't find THE van here, but they had one arriving next week which they were gonna hold for us. Looking forward to their call!
Went straight to family Moller who served nice dinner! Great to see them again. Especially their newborn Hugo who's just as old as Oliver.

Afternoon with family Meelby

My friend, my garden designer and former colleague was kind to have us for lunch today. Her beautiful two girls and Kevin played a couple of hours.
Thanks for having us and good luck with your new job.

Pergo

Visiting Pergo this morning. Really nice seeing all my colleagues again. I miss my work very much.
Kevin enjoyed the visit as he got hot chocolate and got a tour in the backlift by Peter. He now think Pergo is kind of ok even with old ladies there!;-)

5km + coffee break + 5km = my Tuesday

Dropped Kevin of at day-care before walking to Lena who is also on maternity leave with the puppy Felix. We talked, played with our babies and she served nice coffee with bread and cookie. Then it was time to walk back home. Got home just in time to meet up with Johanna who was picking up the car seat to be able to pick Kevin up and take him to the playhouse Busfabriken in Helsingborg. They were away all afternoon and we got home a happy but tired boy who couldn't stop talking about the trip with Johanna.
Thank you for making Kevin's day so special!

The kangaroo Felix

Visiting Lena and Felix today. We gave him an apple to play with. And what and entertainment we got as he barked and jumped on this little apple as if it was something dangerous.

Namegiving ceremoni

Today it was the day of Olivers name giving ceremoni. Sofie and Johanna who has accepted the task of being Oliver's guardian's did a fantastic job with preparing Oliver and creating the flower wreath. We welcomed Oliver to this world and wished him good luck with his life by letting one balloon each fly up in the sky. Then we ate nice Asian food prepared by granddads wife Phoung who's a star in the Asian kitchen. Then we had coffee and a cake while we opened the gifts. Fantastic things everyone had bought for this little fellow. He'll even have a bank account with a good start on!!
Thank you all our dear families for making this day a day to remember. And thank you Johanna and Sofie for wanting to be special people for Oliver on his road to the adult world. We're all looking forward having you even more in our family then we've had before (if that's possible!)

Feeding the ducks

Our best friends today was definitely the ducks who was extremely happy to see us a cold day like this with all the bread we had with us.

Tired

This is how tired you get from having 7 friends for breakfast and then full action at the fire station.

Not only for the kids

It's more then the kids that think it's great fun at the fire station!

Firestation

After a breakfast at our place with all friends we went to the fire station and got a fun sightseeing by Emil.

Troll theme at day-care

Today it was troll theme at day-care and this is what Kevin looked like when leaving home today. We had some friends over this morning who also wanted makeup a la Pernilla. But it felt like we parents thought it was more fun them the kids did.
For Oliver it is babyswim day today. It was really hard work today so he slept very well afterwards.

Big laugh

Oliver has been smiling for several weeks and can really laugh when tickling him. But tonight he couldn't stop laughing when I was coughing. I have a bad cold and don't really want to be laugh at. But if anyone is allowed to laugh at me being sick, it's Oliver. You should have seen him! Baby laugher is something very special and can make any sick person smile!

Oliver

Oliver turned 3 month old this weekend and is now 65cm long and 7,2kg heavy! Got his vaccination today which he didn't like at all of course.
Mum is almost back to original size. Only 3 more kg. But it can take as long as it want as I'm not in any hurry.

While I was doing marketing for Nuggz at the fair and Daniel was doing Malmo with Oliver, this is what Kevin did! Visited a whole puppy family with Lena and Hakan. Great fun as long as they didn't climbed all over him.
A new puppy is chosen and will be delivered next Sunday.

Nuggz stand at Varning for kids fair!

Halloween lunch

The day that I've feared for for the last week has arrived. So much to do that I'm starting to get really irritated at myself for being so damn optimistic. But what the hell... no one has died from a couple of challenges have they?
Packed the car with things for the fair - check!
Give the kids some focus and quality time - check!
Rent The ghost Laban on dvd from the library - check!
Pick up two ladders from mum and Klas - check!
Have Halloween lunch with family Adolfsson and 4 other familys - check!
Drive to Malmo and meet up with granddad who helped me carry all the things to my stand at the fair and who then took Kevin for a sightseeing in Malmo - check!
Get the stand organised and decorated - check!
To mum and Klas so Daniel could get a haircut - check!
Select the shoes I think will sell tomorrow and pack them - check!
Thank God this day is over. Now I only have two more days with this tempo before I can calm down again.
Before it's midnight and I collapse on my pillow I want to thank Daniel for being so supportive.

100% housewife?

This week Kevin is home all week with me and Oliver as it's winter holiday. Today it was Oliver's premier for swim school. So Kevin's granddad came and spent some time with Kevin while I went to Lomma with Oliver. He loved swimming in 37degrees pool. (who didn't!)  Then we had coffee with granddad before lunch. In the afternoon we decided to  ignore the crappy weather and go to feed the ducks. It turned out to be a good decision as we managed to get more sun then rain. And the ducks was very pleased to see us. But we had to get back home to start preparing dinner. (The feeling of a housewife that I've been putting of can only be confirmed.:-( It'll be very long coming 10 month if I dont start mixing my housewife role with training and socialising without kids)

Pumpkin soup

Made a delicious pumpkin soup tonight. Very healthy, looks good and kids friendly! This will definitely become my winter favourite.
