HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Wish you all a Happy Successful New Year!
A very short summery of the highlights of our year 2010. What was your highlights?
January
Our fantastic trip to Thailand as a family together with grandma, Klas and family Persson. Kevin totally loved it and handled the flight, time difference, the heat and the food extremely well. And Thailand is a subject that he's still often talking about. So we better plan another long trip soon again.
Celebrated Klas turning 50 at a restaurant on the beach at Koh Chang.
February
Half of this month was spent in Thailand as well.
We also started renovation our new entrance.
March
Our wonderful Kevin turned 3 years old and is no longer so little anymore.
April
Highlight this month was the weekend without kids at the fantastic Drakamöllan. Best food I've eaten in a long time. Wonderful quiet landscape. Simply the best place to load the batteries.
May
Daniel is doing his first half marathon in Gothenburg in 2.20.
He also started a new job. Resign from the flower branch and started a new career within the construction/building branch.
June
Building our garden shed.
Spending Midsummer as usual in Simrishamn in our campervan with great friends.
July
A month of waiting. Was expecting Oliver this month, but to my frustration nothing happened.
August
6th of August our little baby finally came out. 4,5kg!
I also got my company Nuggz of Scandinavia registered.
September
Big successful kick-off weekend with my shoe company.
October
Selling our old campervan from 78. We actually got money for it.
November
Buying a new campervan!
December
Daniel has started to work shift shovelling snow with a 4WD. Day and night. This year we've had plenty of snow and as cold as -25 degrees so we wont get tired of each other as we hardly spend and time together.
We had nice and cosy Xmas at home with closest family.
New Year was spent with the Ericssons.

Bathing

Lunch with Leo and Alex. Now bathing with Alma, Alvin and Julia.

Preparation for New Year party at Ericssons

Spending a couple of hours at Ericssons helping them getting everything set up for the party tonight!

Last bath this year

Daniel was of working early today. I made sure the little boys got their last bath this year. My intention was to avoid myself getting wet, but realise very soon what an mission impossible that was! The smallest person of us all made sure we got wet all three of us!

Visiting Åkarp

Visiting our friends in Åkarp who has just got a little girl. So tiny and cute! Her name is Nike.
Had dinner together and a nice chat. Decided that we'll meet soon again so that Kevin and Isak can play some more. They get along very well.
Thank You Vivvi and Mikey for tonight!

Turkey dinner

Turkey dinner at mum and Klas place with Linda and Thomas. Always nice to catch up with you guys. It's too long between each time.

Painting

After breakfast today Kevin started painting his Lightning McQueen picture. Then Johanna came to pick up Kevin to go to Aq-va-kul to swim and have fun.
I will really try to relax with Oliver and enjoy it. We'll see how that goes.;-)

Lonely day

I'm so pleased that both my boys slept most of the night. I only had to go up ones for an hour.
Daniel had already left for work since early when I got up with the kids. I wasn't sure what I was going to do today. Still hoping Daniel would get home early. Anna called and asked if they could visit. Of course they could! They stayed for lunch as well and we got great company half the day which was nice.
When realising that Daniel wasn't going to come home until late we decided to have an Astrid Lindgren evening. We watched Emil and Skrållan. Great movies!

Tough day

After the worst night in a long time with hardly any sleep. Daniel worked until 4am and I spent the night with Oliver.
Ones Daniel was awake I got 30 min in the sofa while Daniel played with the kids. Thank God for that!
Then we went to Alma so Kevin could play with her before going back home and ate before driving to Maja and her family. Her mother served pancakes which we enjoyed before going out to the stable so Kevin could see the horses. At first he was afraid when the horses just looked at him. But it ended with that Maja and Kevin took turns jumping standing on the back of the horse down into a pile of hay.
When Majas father got home he took the kids while I rode two of the horses out on the field in 40cm snow. Without sadle! Hard work, but lots of fun!
Kevin played really well with Maja. These kind people even asked us to stay for dinner.
The tour on the horse and full action with Maja made it very easy to put Kevin to bed tonight. He didn't even ask about any dummy!

Xmas 2010

Merry Christmas to all out there! Hope you've had a fantastic Christmas! This is our Christmas 2010 which was spent with all our closest family at our place.
This year was first year with our little Oliver 4½ month old and our second little baby Felix; Fam Persson´s Golden puppy!
The bid happening for our family this year was that Kevin was going to hand over the last dummies to Santa. And so he did. With great pleasure to all our surprise!
Thank You for all the fantastic presents and for a cozy Christmas together!

Necklace to Santa

Kevin is preparing his necklace with all his dummies to Santa!

Pasta Carbonara

Went by the bakery this morning to buy some cookies to take with us to family Litz. Haven't seen them for ages so it was a very pleasant catch up. And as always when the kids are no longer shy it was time to go home. Went to measure Oliver's weight and length. Still a big boy!;-)
When back home we did pasta carbonara with the xmas ham from yesterday. Had dinner on our own as Daniel was at some afterwork! Not sure when he'll get home but I hope soon!

-25 degrees!!!!

-20 degrees!!!!!

Grandpa visiting

Finally grandpa got here and played with me. It's always great fun spending time with him.

Sorry Kevin

The doctor just confirmed that Kevins hearing is pretty bad. If an adult had had Kevins hearing, they would feel as if they were half deaf. But children adapt too well to these "handicaps" and try to live normal. But in the long run their speech, coordination and social skills will stop develop.
So sorry Kevin for all the times we haven't believed that you haven't heart what we've said. And sorry for the times when we got angry because we thought you ignored us on purpose.

Cold

Today we have a christal clear day with blue sky. No wind. From the breakfast table it looks cold, but -16 was a surprise!! We are very pleased there's no wind.
Soon my dad will get here to play with Kevin while I take Oliver with me to get a very needed hair cut. Kevin is getting his ears checked by an doctor today. But knowing grandpa will meet up at home afterwards keeps him motivated.

-13 degrees!

Freezing cold tonight!

Our own little slope

Our own little slope at home is better then nothing when waiting for Daniel to wake up so we can drive to Maria and Robban and congratulate him as he has just turned 30.

Carolas cafe

Daniel got home after 10am from his night shift. I took the kids to the shopping mall Nova. But that only lasted for 20 minutes before I gave up. I wasn't exactly alone there! We went to the local cafe at home for a nice toast for Kevin, herring sandwich and a latte for me and breast milk for Oliver!

Life with two kids

I had coffee with some friends from the gym on Friday who stated that they finally had time for eachother and their child is no longer dependent on them with everything she does. I asked how old she is.... 13 years old. So I only have 13 more years before there's time for anything else but children. I love every piece of my boys, but what an effort it is! One child takes 100% of your time and energy, two children takes 300%! I could do anything at the moment to buy a bag of energy. So if any of you out there have some spare energy, please send some over this way!;-)

Boring Saturday

Daniel got home from his night shift around 9am. We had breakfast together then I left home so Daniel could sleep. We went by Alma and dropped of a Christmas present, then Leila and Kenneth to drop of their christmas gift. When stopping by grandma and Klas to drop of a pair of pants Kevin heard they were watching skiing on tv so he wanted to stay. For some reason he's crazy about biathlon. So he stayed while I went to Lena and Hakan for a cup of coffee and a nice chat.
When I got back to grandma and Klas we watched the exciting semifinal for the swedish girls in handball. They won, just, and are now in final against either Norway or Denmark.
Had a quick dinner with Daniel when we got home before he was of to his next night shift.

Snow = fun

After day-care we joined up with 7 other kids from the area where we live and had a ball at this big pile of snow!

Winterland

All day and most of the night it has been snowing! There's nothing better then inviting a friend home and play in the snow.

Kevin in the snow

I'm normally not fussy about cold, snow or bad weather in general. But today is something else. Not so cold, but snow eeeverywhere! It's snowstorm!
But our little hero Kevin couldn't understand that I didn't want to go out with him today. So he went out on his own!

Playtime

Alma and Alvin came and played with us while their dad went to the hairdresser. It took less then 5 minutes before I heard a crash from Kevins room! They had managed to swing the Xmas heart of glass in the window so it broke. Great! I had to tell myself 100 times that I do love them after all;-) Then take the kids away from the glass and start cleaning the room from broken glass.
Thought it was a good idea to do something more quiet like drawing. Lukely they were keen on my idea.

Pancake day

Started the day slow and for ones without any stress. No day-care today as they had their Santa show this Monday. So today we've invited some friends for pancake lunch.

Kevin's Christmas show

Today we got up early and walked down to Kevin’s best friend Alma, two blocks down, to see if they were ready to walk with us to day-care. Their plan was to take the car. But Alma wanted to walk with me, Kevin and Oliver. So all 4 of us walked to day-care together with bags filled with Santa dresses as this afternoon they’ll do a Santa show for all parents.
Then I took Oliver to IKEA for some shopping. We were there just when they opened so for once it was possible to go shopping at IKEA under an hour. New record!!
On our way back home we stopped by Lena’s work in Lund for a cup of coffee, some nice talk with Lena and Oliver got to say hello to Lena and her colleagues.
When we got back home I unpacked and got all the stuff in place. Candles for the bathrooms, new boxes to keep under Kevin’s bed to store some of his toys in and new curtains.
Then grandma, grandpa and Phuong came and walked with us to a house next to Kevin’s day-care where we enjoyed his Christmas show, a cup of coffee and some ginger bread.

Our little big Kevin is eating bread with ham & mustard and loving it. He'll be alright for this xmas period as ham w mustard is his dad's favourite as well.

Another Nuggz happening

Xmas get together with Nuggz at Hyllie Golf centre! Several companies are showing their products, serving ginger bread to the visitors and playing xmas music! Hopefully the perfect xmas atmosphere will make the visitors want to spend some money;-)

What do you want to work with?

They had asked the kids at day-care what they wanted to work with when they grow up. Can you find Kevin and see his answer? ;-)

Sleeping baby

There's nothing as cute as a sleeping baby.
