Tropical weather

Finally the summer is here with sun, high temperatures, BBQ and more work in the garden. There's not much more I can ask for at the moment.
It's irritating though that the bikini shape is never timed well for the first couple of sunny days. No matter how much I've been training or dieting, the look and feel of a pale body is never comfortable. But who cares when at mum and Klas place where absolutely nobody can see you!!

New gate

Believe it or not, but Chrille came by on Sunday morning and before he went home there was another new gate built and installed. He's a guy that can make things happen!! I hate that we're never allowed to thank him by helping him back. Maybe I can lend out my husband for a round of golf later in the summer. That's the least I can do I guess.
Chrille, don't you go and tell Daniel about my promise about golf the first thing you do!! He has still got some painting left to do!! ;o))

Garden project

I love when Christian visit us. He get my husband to get things done!! :o)First I baked and served homemade pizza, then I left the men on their own while we went to play with Alma. On our way back we stopped by another neighbour where Kevin fell in love with their 10 year old daughter Elin. She let him play in her room and pat their cat AND jump on her huge trampoline.
When we got back home there was a new gate in place! All done to perfectly fit to the rest of the fence! I love it and I'm really proud to have a husband like Daniel and a friend like Christian. You always enrich my life when you're around!
The big change for all our visitors now is that you'll have to ring the bell by the new gate instead of by the front door.

Love to sleep

Kevin love to sleep! While some of his friends have stopped sleeping after lunch, this little guy sleeps between 2-3 hours. I think that's wonderful as long as it lasts because I get time to do allot of things.

Early wake up

Kevin stayed the night at grandma and Klas house tonight as day-care is closed today. He started to make noise around 6.30! Wonderful that he gives them the same treatment as his parents! But he's really good at playing on his own. Here he's playing in his bed with some cars. These are also really wonderful people. Not sure what we’d do without them. They make everything so easy by being there when we need it the most! They love to have Kevin and he loves to be with them. Especially when it comes to making Klas jump in the pool when it’s only 17 degree’s!!

Fishing

Kevin got the pleasure to be picked up early by Godfather Håkan and Lena from day-care today! They are the kindest people we know and Kevin love them! Not only did they pick Kevin up, but they also served the rest of the family BBQ when we got home from work. Can't get much better then that according to me. The only problem with these wonderful people is that they never let you help them back!! Arrrrgghh!!

Weekday BBQ

BBQ on a weekday is becoming more and more common for us. Fresh air, clear blue sky, big sun and simple food are just what you need after a long day in the office.
Here Kevin and Alma are enjoying one of the two sausages they ate. When you see these two together you can totally understand that they are not allowed to sit next to each other at day-care. Whatever one is doing, the other is doing twice as laud, fast and/or hard! And whatever one is playing with the other want to play with too!

Garden project

The hard work is now done! Only the little details left to do. Lucky me, I have my evenings saved with a few more weeks. What else would I do? ;o)
Below you find the entrance with the new stone, the flowerbed along the driveway which is starting to show something green, my favourite flower Christmas rose, the pathway around the house, my herbs with the new oregano and parsley and finally some overview pictures taken from the top of the swing!

Garden project

This morning Tobbe and his brother came at 8am to help out with the stone. We started with a nice breakfast out in the sun. Then I started my laptop so that I could work for the danish market who hasn't got a holiday as we've got here in Sweden, while the men got into laying stone. Just after 3 hours this what they had accomplished. Impressive!!
I then served them a big pastasallad for lunch before they were eager to get back to work. I thought for my self.... wonder how long this energy will last. The plan is to work both Saturday and Sunday as well. I better make sure I spoil them with nice food and drink and some coffee in between so they don't wear themselves out. This is the part where I would do anything to swop place. Imagine carrying stones and get dirty instead of standing in the kitchen like a housewife!!!!!!!!

Garden project

Just to give you an update of what our garden look like now. It feels as if we're getting alot of things done. But everything still looks like a mess. But this weekend we'll get all the stone in place. I trust that will make a big difference. Just look at the ring around the appletree. I can't get enought of that tidy look. Imagine the ring filled with wild strawberries as well. All the flower beds will eventually get a stone frame and hopefully fit in with the strikt look.
I love the time of the year when everything starts to grow. It's not long until I can pick my own herbs from my garden by the wooden deck for my cooking.
